hi friends, i got this device a month ago, and while exploring its features i came across internet calling, to check this facility when i open
setting->personal->phone as per documentation there should be option for internet calling but for my device it is not there.
so plz guys can u cross check this setting in ur device and tell me whether only my device is missing this feature or all i780 don’t support internet calling.

Just make sure you enable a-gps and that you can connect to either gprs or wifi (it will find your position much quicker)Regards!

well i did not know how to operate it
it always tried to search for gps divice via bluetooth
dont u know anysite than hav instruction for using it?

You can try how the GPS works with Google Maps Mobile (which is free) and then decide what other application you will acquire. I personally use Garmin XT and it works pretty much the same as regular Garmin navigational system. Regards!

Hi TommyBoy and every other user here - Thanks so much for all the great information on the 780.
I am being torn apart by the 2 choices for an upgrade from my existing touch screen phone (linux based and old moto a768i).
Nokia e71 or Samsung i780.
e71 is a quad band and has fm radio. Both these i can still afford to not have since i may not travel so often to the 850mhz places and i already have a small fm radio with my mp3 player. So it comes down to battery life. The specs say talktime of 10+ hours or e71 and 7hours for 780.
Tommy boy or any one else - how much battery life are you getting on an average. Do you know if its better than any e71 user?
Till now both phonese were being priced the same here in India. But to make my choice decision even more difficult - now with festival season here in India, the 780 is priced at INR 17859 (previously 20,239) though Nokia e71 is now at INR 20,200 !
Any reply on the questions above would be much appreciated. Peace (happy festive season greetings from India! :) )
