Without A-GPS enabled and without either wi-fi connection or gprs/umts connection to the net to pinpoint your position it could take up to 10 minutes to get a lock on the satellites, otherwise a minute or two max. That's why they built a-gps in mobile phones, otherwise it could take a long time to get a fix.

i just got the phone,..it was loaded with with garmin mobile for maps but it takes forever to get a signal...is it the software or the phone?...i can feel the phone is getting hot but still it shows no signal..any idea to rectify it?

My phone came with the memory card that reads:Scan Disk -microSD/TrashFlash Adapter but amazingly the card is bigger than the micro slot. Can anybody advice! The card was sealed together with a recovery disk that reads MobileXT GARMIN. I can't use my GPRS

The point is that my version of unit (probably yours too) wants to connect to the net through gprs/umts with internet explorer, but not wi-fi. When i use Opera it goes straight to wi-fi if available. It's a known bug and there are some fixes but that works on some versions of firmware (not mine) so i just use Opera instead! Regards!

If u use wi-fi, gpr or bt often then the battery should not last very long. Otherwise my batteries are hanging on pretty well i would say!
