Gas,
I don't quite a gree with your theory. Most Nokia buyers are white but they are europeans which would need both north american bands just as much as their asian counterparts, point is you make a PDA phone which is usually used by business people , you need to acommodate travel to all continents.

1. The screen is itself 256K but the argument is that windows mobile 6 pro only lets it use 65k. But then I wonder how Gigabyte managed to put 256K in their win mobile 6 phone?
2. Why there are few 3G or 3.5G phones with quadbands? Adding 2100 doesnt qualify for quadband. the 850 is missing. No one seems to address that issue other than Nokia.
Otherwise very nice features.Cheers!

you know why asians companies don't have quad-band? it's because most of the people in the world are who buy nokia and don't buy asian phones are white. Asian phones are sold more in Asia where they don't need the 4th band, so they don't even bother. not making any money in white countries anyways.

i don't understand why samsung and SE both have a hard time producing quadband phones.
Most Nokia phones are, and guess who is the number one mobile phone manufacturer, coincident? I think not.

I own the i320n. It's the best phone I've had so far (and there's been a few....) Samsung seems to make the most solid, stable phones. Would like to see them with a palm operating system, but you can't have everything. The only problem I have with the i320 is the battery life. Hope this is sorted with this model. Even if they have to make the phone a little heavier.... Was wondering how this phone gets rated by everyone, when it hasn't even been released?

Mahendra - I feel your pain. Every time I find a phone I think I'll upgrade to I find it is only tri-band :-(
Just shows how far behind we are in North America compared to Asia & Europe.

ohhh such a nice phone!
Why oh WHY can it not be quad band?
the lack of the 850 band here in North America would make for terrible reception indoors!
