Jeffrey, 18 Aug 2010Thank you Simom. Finally somebody who can answer questions ... moreSomehow my posts below was cut short. But anyway that is exactly what I use my beam for. Watch 60~70'' in my room for movies and etc. Brilliant! Need about 2-3m of distance to get a good size projection however.
Search on google singapore regarding buying mobile phones online and you will see many options. GSM blocks any links so that's the best I can tell you.

Thank you Simom. Finally somebody who can answer questions without hesitation and thats what i like. One more question...it was asked here before but nobody seems to know the answer. Where i can buy this phone? (im not interested in out of stock shops as there is plenty of them on net) I live in uk and im not bothered with getting this phone from abroad. Thanks in advance

@Jeffrey - You can access media servers via the inbuilt app "All Share". That means projecting movies, images etc. And it does work. I use WM11 with W7 to do this.
@student - I think this phone is way before its time. Hence it is a limited release and is more of a test of the technology rather than a flagship model launch in hundreds of country eg Galaxy S
@Others - Reports from Beam users who flashed to the newest firmware shows that the Boot Freeze issue is now fixed. Good News!
@also - I managed to get my Beam rooted today and installed some root access apps. This has made my beam more snappy. It is a matter of time before a kernel can be release so a rooted Beam can be overclock to 1ghz to 1.2ghz in the same vein as Motorola's XT720 (they have the same OMAP3440 cpu). At this speed beam will become a monster! Beam's advantage of a pico projector and its 1800mah battery can no be matched by any other androids :D

i been waiting for this phone since months.....yet no solid news of it in uk :s my contract ended in june and been waiting for this ever since. am tired of waiting...galaxy s is out of question cuz no cam flash put me off (excellent screen though) iphone4 too expensive....does any1 know when this gona be released ere??? if not wt other options i hve??

The current only available retailers of this phone are in singapore and they charge approx $800 US.
