This is really fantastic phone from Samsung..u can project movies,you tube videos,Pic's,whatever displays on my phone screen it vl project..even games as well,
It's like mini home theater, best for night outs with friends,friends r amazed seeing the clarity of projector.. u don need a LCD @ home, It's a worthy buy

very2 poor update by samsung.
This i8530. Not using super amoled like i8520. Downgrade camera only 5MP. And the last no corning gorilla glass. Or minimum i hope using scratch resistan. But there is nothing.

Anonymous, 25 Nov 2012is galaxy beam 8530 better than galaxy s2? S2 is better than Galaxy Beam coz it is a flagship phone way back of 2011 while Galaxy Beam is a mid range phone only. But Galaxy Beam is way cheaper than S2 and has a rich retail box (2 batteries included, phone dock that can charge the extra battery etc) Galaxy Beam has projector whereas S2 doesn't have. Both phones can be upgraded to v4.1 (Jelly Bean) I still prefer Galaxy Beam over S2 due to its cheaper price and rich retail package

The battery is overall good. Hopefully this phone can be my mp3 player. Coz music is my life.
