Should I upgrade my S2 from Android OS v2.3.6 (Gingerbread) to v4.0.4 and how ? Any problems if upgrade to Android OS v4.0.4? Thanks!

After upgrade to 4.0.4 the same problem happen to me... In sunlight it hangs. And also my baseband and phone version shows unknown.. Anyone have this problem? Whats the solution?

I have used mine for more than 12 months and the only problem I've had was when I accidentally dropped it and the glass cover got broken. I intend to upgrade to galaxy note II next week and hope it will setve me the way the sII has served me.

can any one help me with the following issue: whenever I receive a Song by BT it by default takes a pic as a thump nail regardless what kind of security is on this pic, and it takes random thump nails when sent to computer or another phone is this can be fixed once and for all?

It is perfect. smartphone as operation.
Since I use it. to receive emails and WIFI and 3G all time. battery support only for 12 hours.

i've had this phone for about 4 months now and when i first bought it i was having problem with hanging after every charge that was the only problem but after ICS update everything is rocking am loving this phone is versatile

Best smart phone I've owned. I leave it running for at least a month at a time and when I have to reboot it it's because of flaky 3rd party apps. Really good battery life talk time, no better than other phones when using smart phone features.

this is the worst phone i ever had. in 10 months phone has been to service center 8 time. my phone's motherboard has been replaced, touch panel has replaced, battery replaced, charging jack replaced, earphones replaced. only the charger is one thing which is proper with this phone. n customer service is hopeless. never buy any product of samsung

The GPS in this one is A-GPS, according to the specifications . Does it also have the normal satellite GPS option ??

I am running Rootbox 2.2 Android version 4.1.1, Harsh kernel, clockwork mod recovery. CPU oc'ed to 1.35Ghz (throttled).
I
f the stock 4.0.4 update does not show up in Kies, try setting a proxy from a country that does have the update and it should work. Although flashing an official update from a different country will change the regional radio. You will need to flash back to your country or you will have bad reception.
To get root and flash CWM and custom recovery. You can download the files from XDA Developers and save to the internal sd card. Then go into the stock recovery and flash the exploited CWM/root zip. You need to have the ICS bootloader before applying new custom roms. The easiest way to confirm is to let kies flash the official ICS update. PS: dont forget your gapps files :) google this stuff its easy ^^/
