Great phone. Using since 7 months now and no problems whatsoever.
1)Installed Austrian Ice Cream Sandwich in my Indian Galaxy R.
Also got 50GB dropbox space because of Austrian ICS. :D
2)Use Apex launcher with Jelly Bean theme, icons, wallpaper, etc.
3)Installed unofficial port of Google Now, works perfect.
4) Also have widget tab in app drawer and widgets are resizable :D
Overall, my phone is nothing short of an official Jelly Bean device! In face it's much better than what samsung itself can make for me (With its shitty Touchwiz 4.0)

Hi I am an Indian user of the GTi9103 and it is a good handset but I am really dissappointed in the lack of software support that samsung has given us buyers in this manner Apple or Nokia are more reliable people. Forget about ICS 4.0 there is no official update to even 2.3.6 from 2.3.5 these Crooks (Samsung) are just focussing their attention to their higher end handsets like s2 & S3 and the likes..... real cheaters!!! their customer support is 3rd rate and despite the Android platform I am sorry that after all the support we customers have given by trusting their products we are dealing with cheap crooks owning a giant company called Samsung.....I Hate Apple I phones but I have to admit they dont leave their customer's in the lurch atleast for the first year.

Had this phone not even a fortnight, the touchscreen is dodgy, slow to respond if at all, and the charger is dodgy too, won't charge when I plug it in, saying it's charging when not plugged in. The phone was great at first, until these problems arose, if anyone ha had the same problems and knows how it's caused/how to fix it, could you get back to me?

Once i plug my handsfree ...n den remove it...the external speakers doesn't works.....!!

my galaxy r is getting hang on 2 - 3 seconds interval. any suggestion? i did many times hard reset still the the device is not getting better. & also not charging.

What's Samsung problem with Galaxy R. They made the phone but how come buyers are not able to update to ICS. It's Bullshit and this isn't fair. Samsung should do something about this. We have an option..if we like your product...you should make us proud.

Hi. I'm using this phone from December'2011.
This is great phone n I'm not comparing it with S2 cause S2 have some more little feature and some more money but I sayed proudly that My Galaxy R looks more smart n sexy then S2.
My Galaxy R got everything... Great speed, dread screen, great sound and everything is great just if its got 2 more feature then its much better then S2, 1 Image Stabilizer or TV out put.
When I buy the mobile I facing the problem from 1st day, sometime touchscreen not working n then I press lock n again I used n its working well but I always thinking its my finger problem or touchscreen problem but I always though its my finger problem cause my finder always sweat cause hot weather n then last 10 days back my back key or option key not working n then I go service center and they changed my touchscreen free of coast cause its in warranty n after changed touchscreen I am surprised, its miracle for me... What a screen now,its more smooth n more working perfectly :) now touchscreen working perfectly whatever my finger problem. I think they changed my complete screen cause I see that 2 white spot are gone after servicing :).
Now I tell u guys that the mobile is heavy powerful.
I never face any hanging problem or crash problem. I love my mobile n its everything for me...
The best thing is its Limited Edition so its unique :-)

hey guys i just wanted to knw where this phone is available in bangalore coz i dont c the ads of tis mob in any pamphlets of leading mobile dealers.. on the other hand the galaxy s advance is a very common phone!! can any1 please tell me any mobile store where i can buy tis phone!?
