can we use the amzer silicon or hard fancy backcovers of galaxy s2 in this galaxy r, because galaxy r backcases or flip cases are not available in the market and galaxy s2 are available easily but i am not sure weather galaxy s2 backcases will fit properrly or not,,please reply and also if anybody knows that from where we can buy it online please tell.

Then found the difference in network where it says WCDMA(UMTS) for galaxy R and HSPA for all other models. I called their customer care, and they confirmed the same. However, in samsung's site, it is mentioned to be using HSPA+ now. Not sure if it is upgraded on hardware front recently. Also, two different rates exist in market : 21K and 23K. God knows if this is the reason.

I just bought this phone, and its damn awesome .... A good phone with all good features for a good budget .... I would certainly suggest all to buy this phone

A good mobile with all latest features.. and at a good price (20-21k). You can buy this phone in Flipkart or sulekha shopping or in south India at girias showroom. Its been 20 days i got this. So far soo good. Am loving it :)

Guys.. One doubt.. when i wen to the shop to buy GALAXY R they said that the mobile has been stopped. co can someone tel me. Whether if i get any problem, do the service centre ll replace the mobile or not.

Yes it would be upgraded to ICS, i.e. Android 4.0
Also got to know a bit of more about UMTS now. The upload speed would be limited to 384 kbps only. HSPDA is more advanced version of UMTS, which offers speed on upto 14.2 Mbps. Unfortunately this phone lacks it.
