compared to gorilla glass can anyone tell me wht type of glass galaxy R has. is it scratch resistant? i know its not gorilla glasss but does it have more durability compared to low priced andriod's mobile set?

The battery life depends on the first time you charge your cell phone... Make sure u charge it completely and keep it on charging mode for couple of hours extra...

what u get with SAMOLEDplus is less power consumption n high contrast... but power is consumed less only for darker colors like black,, for brighter color shades like white consumes a lot of power than our normal LCDs.. So in the real life to get better battery back in SGSII we should have a darker walpaper n theme ,, but those r not always possible.. But LCDs consume the same amount of power for displaying all the colors..
normally LCDs dont have better viewing angle but the SC-LCD in SGR has superb viewing angle comparable to SAMOLEDplus.
the only situation where SAMOLED plus beats the SC-LCD is direct sunlight legibility..
and finally.,, if u look at a SC-LCD screen,, the image displayed 'll luk natural.. but in SAMOLEDs it ll luk oversaturated.. but in SAMOLED when u view a full black image,, then u cant differentiate the bezel n the screen,, that much contrast SAMLOED has!!

bt wen ever u r using the net then the battery backup is up to 4 to 5 hrs..

niko, 29 Dec 2011can you please tell me is the screen tough even without gor... morewell its tough enough for daily usage,, but if u have butterfingers and end up dropping the mobile often,, then sure u ll mess up with the screen..
using a branded screenguard is a must for SGR!!

I made a lot of research before buying my third android mobile..
n to make u clear between SGR n Splus,,
1.CAMERA: though both the phones have 5mp camera,, the pics from SGR are too fantastic.. because it uses an unique image processing algorithm after taking the image.Its one of the best 5mp out there.
2.RAM: The ram is 1gb in SGR which is twice of Splus.. well many may say that 512mb is highly sufficient,, but that was for some 5 months back,, but now all the apps which are available uses a lot of ram than there previous versions as there features gets updated..
Importantly,, ICS alone uses a lot of ram,, so even custom ICS roms will worsen the Splus experience.
3.Battery backup:Battery backup is better than Splus though they both use the same capacity batt of 1650mAH,, because of the ultra low power consuming tegra 2 processor in SGR.
4.GPU department:: when pitted against the geforce gpu of SGR,, the Adreno 205 GPU is like a baby,, which is clearly evident in HD games..
****All the high end games(shadowgun,GTA etc) out there are smoothly playable on SGR****
5.Size comparison:: dont consider the size as a matter ,, because if u can hold n use Splus then for sure u can use SGR without any prob.
6.CPU face-off:: two cores r always better than a single overclocked one.. it was some 3months back that the performance of dual core was par with a single overclocked CPU,, because of the apps which were at that time not optimized to use both the cores.. so they acted merely as a single core.. but the scenario has changed n now dual core cpu smokes the single cores!!
are these suggestions enough???
