AnonD-262740, 15 May 2014Hello guys
Can any one tell me what is better S4 active o... moreOf course, S4 active is better than Grand 2.
S4 Active has the same proceesing power and graphic capability as regular S4, with water resistant.
Grand 2 is a midrange phone, with dual sim.
Choice is yours. Not a fair comparison between the two.

Now the price for this phone is dropped.
If really want to compare head to head with new phone, this is the cheapest all round performer, and best bang for bucks. Much cheaper than the 4G version of regular S4, and cheaper than Xperia Z.
It has a good 5" Full HD LCD display (very rare on Samsung high end phone), Qualcomm S600 processor, IR blaster, NFC, 4G, screen mirroring cast, Micro SD card slot, removable battery, with water resistant + dust resistant.
The viewing angle for the LCD is very good, with much accurate color reproduction (unlike AMOLED, which is much saturated, with yellowish tint)
The only let down will be the 8MP camera, but still is a good snapper, no OIC though. Very hard to find phone cover for the phone, unlike regular S4 and Note 3. LCD cannot archive true black, if compare to AMOLED.
If you are afraid of the water damage, just stay away from water. It is still a fully featured phone alone.
Has been used for 10 month.

Mihai N, 14 May 2014Please let me know abot the heating durring games or intens... moreMine heat up too, play intense game such as Asphalt 8, Real Racing 3.
It can heat up easily.
But, this apply to other phones too, the regular S4, Note 3, Xperia Z, Z1.
I wrap the phone with phone cover, so the heat won't affect much.

Mihai N, 07 May 2014I bought this phone 1 week ago. I haven't tested yet the &q... moreI do also have the said heating issue but I guess it is normal when you are a heavy user especially when mobile data is ON. Im not worried about the heating issue because other phones also have the same issue i.e S5, S4 and even Sony's. You'll get used to it soon (like me).

I bought this phone 1 week ago. I haven't tested yet the "waterproof" but I will soon. I think taht if is sealed properly i will not have any problems.
My toughter istalled several games (pvz2, candycrush) and i noticed that after she played almost 2 hours the phone was realy heated. Do you think this is normal?
I istalled also some CPU temp appl and saw that the processor temp when she played was around 64-65 degrees Celsius. That may be normal but i'm not sure is the heating is normal. It looks to me like it heats up a little bit more than a normal S4. Could this be due to the fact that is waterproof and the heat cannot get out like on a normal S4??
I heats up fast, but it also cools down fast. On a dayly basis usage, is a very good phone.
Could you please tell me your opinion about the heating?
Thank you.

Another Alan, 29 Apr 2014Subjective to say if forcing user to properly seal the phon... morenobody is forcing a user to properly seal the phone but it is our responsibility as a user of this waterproof/water resistant phone to ensure that the phone is really safe on water by properly sealing the phone a couple of times. It is not the Samsung's fault if our phone got water damage due to the negligence of the user but the user itself.

Subjective to say if forcing user to properly seal the phone.
There are some level of protection, but it cannot guarantee water will never go into the phone.
No sensor or any obvious visible sign if the phone is not sealed properly.
This applied to other waterproof phone, like Sony Xperia Z, Z1, Z Ultra.
U can't tell if all port are properly sealed, which imply that extra care is needed when need to use it under water.
Those who are having water damage are considered unlucky, as the phone maker will only blame u not using it properly. Sigh....
