am trying to activate the notification light on Whatsapp. Have set it to red under Whatsapp's settings, but it does not work.

- Set the "Network Mode" to "WCDMA/GSM";
- Disable all features you don't actually use, mainly "S Beam", "NFC", "Smart Stay", "Smart Pause", "Smart Scroll", "Air Gesture" and "Air View";
- Set screen brightness to "-3" with the "Auto" checked;
- Enable "Power Saving";
- For the first 3-4 charges, wait until the phone actually turn off by itself (drain the whole battery) until you plug it in the charger;
- I found this one only 2 days ago, set "Facebook" to "Manual" update as it did make a big difference for me.
I used to get 18-20 hours only at first, today it passed the 40 hours continuous on after doing the points above for about 3 weeks. In all cases, you will NEVER get 17 hours of talk, this is just a marketing thing (they reach these numbers under very ideal conditions of temperature and signal strength that doesn't happen in daily use). Hope this helps.

For what its worth...
I have read in a forum that Facebook and Android 4.2.2 are not completely compatible "yet", and some users were having issued of Facebook trying on and on and on to connect or send a message or update...etc.
I haven't had an issue with Facebook with the Galaxy Active; but I thought I'd try a little experiment.
I have changed Facebook settings to "Manual Update" instead of "Auto Update Every (x", the result is that the Galaxy is now working for 43 hours on one charge and still running till now with 22% battery (!), the only change in my daily routine is that I'm not using the Bluetooth headset (because I lost it few days ago and haven't got a change to get another one yet).
Don't know how or why, but thought I'd share that interesting thing; hope it would help users. I'll update later with the effect of having the same setup but with the regular use of Bluetooth headset.

how about the battery?the others phone(water resisstant)normaly battery is build in..so how about this phone?i just know the battery can put out but not sure for the void waranty?

Less than 30 minutes call with your phone under water will not harm since it's waterproof up to 30 minutes. LOL!

Today I set the network connection to LTE, it is working fine and signal is very steady... Browsing the internet is right as it is supposed to be :-)
I noticed that on telephone calls longer than 5 minutes, the screen and the back of the mobile tend to become hot... Everything is working normally with no hangs or lags or any unusual performance except this heating issue. Anybody having similar issue or knows more about it?
Note:
For the past weeks since I got this device, I was depending completely on 3G connection (no LTE), the heating issue never happened before.
