AnonD-492403, 24 Jan 2016How is the battery life in lollipop compared to jelly bean? (4.3)I've owned this phone since maybe a week after it came out, and I just love this phone. I'm not ready ro give up the physical navigation keys. As per the battery with the offical 5.0.1 its freaking horrible. I thought it was my battery, so I borrowed my friends "new" battery, it lasted a lil bit longer but not much more. I think I got mayybe 6 hours of normal use, and this is even after giving the update about a week to settle in. So I naturally did what every android user should do. I rooted it and installed xposed framework, tweaked it, personalized it, and even with the original battery that's 912 days old (that's old) I manage to squeeze 15 hours of little less than normal use, normal use I get 12 hours. With a new battery I get maybe 25% more time. It's fast its compact, it's resilient. Love it. I've had it rooted since day 1, and ever since then people were able to root 5.0.1 I think that will be that last official update this phone will receive. Oddly enough even though this phone was jailbriken by Gehot when it first came out, you wont be able to port "newer" ROM's because the bootloader was never cracked. (You can sideload, but having 2 ROMs is just silly IMO) I'm actually surprised that there were still enough people with this phone that someone decided to work on the root for it, therefore it's still being developed as of OCT 2015, but I think that was the end of the road for this phone, but hey 5.0.1 official update for a phone released in 2013, can't complain.

My Samsung Galaxy S4 Active GT-i9295- its Wi-fi, Bluetooth, Hot Spot Wi-fi Connection is not working since the day I bought the phone. Every time I enabled the said button, it immediately disabled. How could I fix that? Can someone who have a golden heart can help me on that problem. Please leave a comment. Thank you!

i just wanna ask how can i fix dis. my s4 active keep rejecting my sd card... bought a new one sd card... at first it was ok.. den after 1 week.. it started rejecting it.. keep on unmounting.. and shows SAFE TO REMOVE SD CARD. i unmounted it .and mount still d same prob.. it also sometyms says UNSUPPORTED ......PLS..i tried turning my phone off.

tet, 22 May 2015for water resistance, not really resist as they claim, and ... moreI agreed with you.. the only problem for this phone is water resistance, my exp of using this phone for 2 years.. i think i drop for more fhan 200 times already considering how clumsy i am. But pther than drop.. it is still working and functioning well..

Owned more than 2 years. It has working fine through these year.
The sim tray is broken by me, going to replace the sim tray, repair cost will be charged.
Battery live get pretty bad after long usage, going to replace a new battery for it.
It is not waterproof, nor it is rugged. It is just a normal phone, with an alternate outlook to the original Galaxy S4.
The LCD screen itself is pretty good, you get better white, and unsaturated color.
It also show more detail than the AMOLED screen, I did compare side by side with the original S4 with a test video, the AMOLED screen look more fuzzy when showing fine detail, but the different is not obvious, only side by side comparison will notice.
Speaker phone also much louder than the original S4.

Official Android 5.0.1 Lollipop update is Rolling-out to Samsung Galaxy S4 Active GT-I9295. The update package is currently available Over-The-air (OTA) in Finland and other Nordic countries.

There is is no nightmare in upgrading to lollipop, am currently running it with lollipop and rooted.... hit me up at Android - Flashfire community via google+

I wouldnt try to update the os. research for yourself and see the nightmares people are having with that.

I have one and I used it under water (not salty water) and it didn't damaged But its disadvantages that 1-its temperature rises quickly
2-the battery is weak it discharges quickly
3-the screen is weak it has broken from me although it droped from me from about 80 cm height
