It's sad that they don't want to put radio on their high-end phones. The Galaxy S4 Mini has, and this one not. There are people who wants, and needs radio. To use an app for that is something else, and you need Wireless for that!

Less sensors, 8 mp camera, no functions for camera ....... u r lossing all of these functions for water & dust resistance ..... if it had the same price as i9500 then it is worth of purchase. ...

Xperia ZR will having lower price and also having Handy, style, cheaper, easy to Carry than S4, s3, s4 active. so, Xperia ZR easily Defeat S4 Active.

Screw the person behind the la... moreThis phone is a joke buddy.dont take it so serious.this phone ment to mock Sony's flagship.this phone also ment to grab market which fill with active people who is considering a removable battery and card slot is a deal beeaker which Sony neglect it.For active people, amoled/not or 13 mp/ 8mp is not deal breaker.why you need 13mp if you cant expand your memory card?For an adventourist you will find a lot beautiful sceenery.You can record it in hd vid or take it with cam.Imagine if you dont have a card expansion slot and your phone already filled with pics or vids from beatifull places,and you want to take more.What?you will sort your pics or video and erase it?
Samsung made this phone only to fill the gap which sonys Z fail to reach it inparticular market.The korean wasnot even serious yet,they just being tactical.its obvious though and maybe to give sony another lesson too.

Dude, they downgrade to 8MP mainly due to supply issues. Sony is the supplier for the camera sensors. They may have used LCD so that it does not affect S4 Super AMOLED supplies. Or maybe they removed all these to keep the phone price lower or to protect the sales of original S4s. They may have other reasons but most importantly is your preferences. There are many devices available in the market now for you to choose. Pick one you that you think worth your money.

Unfortunately, Sony's strategy didn't even cause a dent on Samsung's sales. By the way what makes you think that Sony invented waterproof smarphones and that Samsung didn't have waterproof ones earlier? Neither Sony nor Samsung invented them. HTC with their Butterfly (a non-water resistant but splash resistant) followed by the Sony Xperia Z (water and dust resistant) and ZL a non-IP certified version of the Z came out of the market first with a 1080p screen resolution. Samsung only came in even later than other not-so-famous OEMs like the Oppo with the Find 5 phone in releasing a phone with a 1080p resolution. If I were a part of Samsung's marketing team, since they're fond of copying others work like what LG has been claiming to have their original work (dual shot camera and eye tracking like Smart Pause for Samsung) and Sony's Floating Touch as to Samsung's Air Gesture then they should have just made the S4 an IP certified phone! In that way, they could have put in everything a GS4 can offer physically up to its performance! This is a well built phone design wise but having that IP feature means should have better specs than the original GS4 which has a very nice 13MP camera and Sammy could have somehow gotten away from people's impression of producing an exact the same phone as the GS3 since this really looks different at some point especially with the colors available for this model. And if in any case that they decided to make another phone which is a non IP certified version people will be cool with it even if Samsung will only put an 8MP camera with it then it is something everyone would probably understand coz Sammy has the reason to say they want a GS4 variant that is cheaper for everyone to afford, and maybe make it a GS4 mini and put a 4.7" 720p screen on it then it will be cooler to look at.
Look at Sony's strategy, they made the Z the flagship phone for at least the first half of 2013 and along with it came the ZL which has everything that Z has but just a lil inferior by not having an IP certification for anti dust and water. At least Sony didn't have the camera downgraded. Samsung's strategy was that of a kindergarten despite having the most successful number of sales among all OEMs. If Samsung will keep on doing this crap, they'll end up below the ground.
