AK, 15 Nov 2014Samsung Galaxy s3 i9300 KitKat upgradable???Yes unofficially i9300 is upgradable to KitKat and in the future LollyPoP.

Flash it with Cyanogenmod - http://www.cyanogenmod.org/

Or other roms are here - http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s3/development

Google how to put custom roms onto your i9300.

[deleted post]" CM Security " is an anti-virus application. You have the choice to install it or not ..... I used it a long time ago, because sometimes I install apps from another stores ( not Google play store ) or apk files are not secured . Therefore, it is better to have an anti-virus.

                                    AnonD-300042, 13 Nov 2014how you downgrade I thought its impossible @ x85x85

You can go back to v4.1.2 but you need the right Firmware.
First of all you will need Firmware i9300XXEMG4 (thanks to alsafi for that info), and ODIN v3.0.7 or above to flash your phone.
*WARNING* Flashing your phone to 4.1.2 will revert your phone to Factory condition, so back up anything you need first!
Make sure that you have the Samsung drivers installed on your PC. If you have ever used Kies then you have.
First of all, unzip the Firmware into a folder where you can find it. There are two files and you need both; but you will only use one. Then load up ODIN. Then put your phone into Recovery mode and clean out the cache partition. Then remove the battery and restart in Download mode. Connect your phone to the PC and you will see the phone in the left pane and the word . Don't tick or untick any of the other options.
(I'm doing this from memory but I think it is correct).
Then click on the PDA button and locate the i9300XXEMG4 file. When you have loaded that (it takes a while to show up) you can press START. ODIN will flash your phone back to v4.1.2
After completion the phone will attempt to restart but will go into a 'bootloop'. It will load as far as the Samsung logo but will then attempt to restart again and again and again.
Disconnect the phone from the PC, remove the battery, go into Recovery mode, and flush out the cache again. While you are still in Recovery mode you will now have to select 'Factory reset'. This will wipe your phone clean but is necessary to complete the operation.
Disclaimer: You flash the phone at your own risk. I have done 3 Samsung S3 phones now, my own and two of my friends, without any problems, but you accept the risk if you do yours.
If you need any more help ask me or alsafi.

First of all, what size SD card are you using. Don't go above 32Gb on the S3.
Then format the card through the phone. Go to Settings/Storage, scroll down to SD card, and use the 'Format SD card' option.
If that doesn't work then the problem is with the SD card itself.
I (and others) have found that Sandisk cards have a problem with the S3. I've had that make of card fail on me in the past.
