Excellent INITIAL specs. 4.5 inch Super AMOLED Plus capacitive touchscreen(perfect for viewing HD videos), 8MP camera that can record full HD(1080)and a 1.2 GHz processor!!! Hope Samsung will release it to the rest of the world...

This particular unit will ONLY be released for AT&T!!!!
So unless you live in the US, you won't get your hands on this baby...
The rest of us will have to wait and see if Samsung will release it to the rest of the world...

I think it's the most complete phone of samsung.
but the size is not good...
totally xperia arc is better and we're waiting for htc's surprise with its new android phone.

Super specs!!!!! Initially it did not have flash in the specs. Now it does. This will be my next phone. Im using tmobile. I think i have to switch to att.

Regarding the Samsung Galaxy S having no flash so its a failure. Samsung selling a total of 10 million Galaxy S phones cannot be considered a failure. Some of you might wanna accept that there is no such thing as a PERFECT mobile phone.

Stop making stupid comments regarding some specs(like no flash or no gyro,etc)of this phone. For heaven's sake, the specs provided here are INITIAL, INCOMPLETE,and UNOFFICIAL specifications. It doesn't even state the size(i.e. dimensions)of this unit. You just have to be a little bit patient until this site gets the OFFICIAL specs. I suggest its better to just share important updates regarding this phone.
Also, post proper English. THIS IS AN ENGLISH FORUM. I had a bit of a headache trying to "decipher" some of the posts! lol! If you can't speak/write English, translate.google is your friend...

4.5" is TOO big. 4" max is absolutely enough. I like Samsung, but because of screen size will buy Motorola Artix or LG Optimus 2X.

doesnt samsung have ne new design in their mind..........they r just doing a little here and there with the i9000 design......like making it bigger,etc.......and naming it a new model......shouldn't this be named a successor of i9000 galaxy s rather than captivate(if made global)...
