Samsung is launching a design contest with a $40,000 prize pool
Two years ago, Samsung and Deezen magazine launched a design competition for QLED TV stands and this year, the two join together for another design contest but this time for mobile devices and smart wearables.
Samsung Mobile Design Competition and Dezeen, a design magazine, are looking for some fresh ideas on new accessories for Galaxy smartphones, tablets and wearables. Winners in each category will split a $40,000 prize pool. Accessories can be smartphone and tablet cases, watch straps or earbuds cases. However, Samsung is looking for enhanced user experience on top of the pleasing design aesthetics.
There's also a category for wallpapers. They must be interactive, contextually aware and provide essential information.
Samsung and Dezeen will select five winners from each category, fly them to London to present their ideas in front of a jury and the jury will select three winners. They will be hosted at this year's Samsung Developer Conference in San Jose where they will receive their prizes.
Speaking of, the winners in each category will get $10,000, the second place gets $5,000 and the third gets $3,000. Fourth and fifth place will have to settle for $1,000 and the free trip to London.

I think android OEM’s doesn’t want to remove chin for a reason might be the navigation buttons plus gestures navigation not going to work as smooth as iPhone gestures I guess?.
