Samsung is pushing an update to the Galaxy Watch4 series

Yordan, 11 October 2022

Samsung issued a new update for the Galaxy Watch4 wearables. It comes with minor fixes, mainly related to system stability, but does not include a new security patch. It is 185 MB in size with firmware version R8xxXXU1GVI3.

The update is hitting devices in South Korea and, barring any issues with early adopters, should go global soon.

The update log reveals the security patch is dated August 2022, just like the update from last month. It is hitting both the Galaxy Watch4 and Galaxy Watch4 Classic variants, and users should be receiving a notification any time now on their connected smartphone.

Big changes already arrived to the 2021 wearables in early September, including the latest OneUI 4.5 with new watch faces, improved notifications, an enhanced built-in keyboard and more options for setting alarms.
