Samsung fixes major issue in Galaxy S8 Oreo beta 3 build

Himanshu, 28 November 2017

The Android Oreo Beta 3 build for the Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+ started rolling out last week. It brought the November security patch and major improvements to Bluetooth stability. However, it turns out that it also included a major issue.

The bug basically prevented some applications from opening. The apps in question are those that were put to sleep (to save battery) by the system after they were found unused for more than three days.

Well, the good news is that the problem has been quickly fixed by the South Korean company, and a new hotfix update has been pushed out already.

No other changes are included in this update.
