Samsung starts Jelly Bean rollout for the Galaxy S Advance

07 January, 2013

Samsung is releasing the Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean update for its I9070 Galaxy S Advance smartphone. The update is available over the air and through the KIES software, but has only hit Russian units so far.

The update is also available for direct download if you want to flash it manually.

Along with Project Butter's noticeable smoothness improvement the Galaxy S Advance will get the revamped TouchWiz launcher with its redesigned Nature UI.

Other countries are bound to follow suit sooner rather than later, but as is usually the case we don't have any details on which ones will come next and when exactly.

If you don't feel like waiting you can download and manually flash the 4.1.2 ROM by following one of the two links below. Keep in mind that you might void your warranty and brick your phone if you don't know what you are doing.

Thanks, achyut_banerjee for sending this in!
