this phone would be awesome if it had a memory slot and mp3 player.
                600 KB is rediculous..
it is so small its like an mp3 player size.
                cute but impractical

The M300 is very very petit (small). Also I think it looks quite good. There are a lot of drawbacks though. First of all the features. There are just none, it's a very basic phone. At first I was quite attracted to that, but that kind of disappeared when I discovered it could do nothing. No cool ringtones and the features are the same as the X460. The thing is, this one is more expensive than the X460 (because it's more recent) and it's sound quality is much poorer. I think the sound quality is it's main flaw, and it's MAJOR. Really, i think a person talking to me on the phone has to repeat him/herself at least once every minute... Awfull... - Better buy an X460 if the battery is still alive.

I agree to the most said before. Just for staying in touch it is great because it is really small. One drawback though: if you want to use the camera for other purposes than sending MMS - forget it. It is not compatible with the Mac at all and with the PC only when using a serial cable. The USB cables offered on ebay are useless, Samsungs software (latest version 2003!) recognises serial connectors only. Poor.

Very nice and simple. Only one complain: when is set to ring and vibrate in the same time it only vibrate. How can i teach him to make them both? I have tried to reset settins, but with no use. I

Samsung M300 was actually released when "The Simpsons Movie" was released. The M300 was released in a Yellow colour for the movie. Although lack of features for the phone arent that great, samsung still thought everyone would buy their product due to having a "simpsons" liscence. But, wouldnt you think that they could have chosen a better phone? Instead of a lackluster no featured phone? Well i guess if it has a simpsons liscence everyone would be sucked in to buy it, and to find the phone is a complete lackluster of a phone. Well there you go random long fact of the day.

The Samsung M300 is a very handy phone. With its size and weight, I couldn't even feel its bulk in my jeans pocket. This is a basic phone - calls, texts, and mms capable. When using the call feature, there is voice clarity. I can clearly hear what the caller is saying and the background noise is reduced which adds to its clarity. When using the text feature: texting and reading sms, the font is big enough and dark enough which makes reading messages easy even for elder people with poor eyesight. The keypad is rather compact due to its size but each key is equally well-spaced out so typing in texts is similar to that of an average sized phone. The backlights and brightness can be adjusted to suit your needs. As for the MMS feature: this phone can only send up to 30kb file size via MMS - be it a photo, ringtone, etc. No infrared nor bluetooth feature. The VGA-type camera is also adequate. Knowing the quality of Samsung, I can also get very good shots as long as the lighting is good, too. As with all other Samsung phones with camera, it also has different options (frames, zoom, mode, self-timer, etc) to suit your needs. The only difference with this phone is that it does not have any video recording feature. For entertainment, this phone came with 1 java game: Snowball Fight and also has FM radio feature that I could use with a headset (included in the package). FM radio transmission is also clear and the sound quality is also good and can be comparable to the sound quality of a sony ericsson phone. Overall, this is a good and handy phone with all the basic features. I can also say that this is a very hardy phone (as compared with Nokia - I dont mean to badmouth, but all my nokia phones were rendered useless when I accidentally dropped those only once or twice!) as I have already dropped mine a few times at that. It already has some visible scratches but other than that, my phone still works at its peak performance. Nice job, Samsung! I also have a Motorola Razr V3x - that is another hardy phone that I love so much. Yes, it already has a few dents and scratches but it is still working! LoL.
