I have just updated the firmware on my phone only to find now that it is locked and I will now have to have it unlocked. Haven't seen any mention of this happening, is this right?

First, open up the bar that contains the hidden shortcuts (the arrow at the top left hand sife of the screen) then drag and release the icon that you want to disappear from the main screen area in to the main stack of shortcuts (anywhere will do).And hey presto! Then close the column again by clicking on the column tab (top left hand corner).
PS: open the column tab at anytime to access any of the other short cuts; just drag them from the unhiddem column and drop on the main screen area. Repeat the above to remove them.

Hi guys.
I want to know, i have to choose between the m8800, the nokia 5800, e71 or htc snap... which is the best?
Secondly i see the samsung m8800 has a "Standard battery, Li-Ion 1000 mAh" would it work and be fine if i put in a "Li-Ion 1500 mAh" like most other phones have?

I have had my Pixon for about a Year now and i have to say, Samsung are the way forward, becuase of this i now have 2 Samsung T.V's, a Samsung SorroundSound System, my partner has has a Samsung Jet and a Samsung Microwave Oven.
The Two Main Issues with this Phone is Battery Life (it lasts about 24-36 hours which means you have to charge it every 24, which aint that bad)
and the contact search, which has the spyglass to find contacts instead of letter or name search)
But these aint major issue's infact i love it desopite these things!!
I give it **** out of ***** and all my other products are great too.

Where can i cat gps software that is compatible with this phone. Willing to pay for it. I want one that has the map installed on phone. not google or garmap that uses gprs

EXPERIENCE WITH RESISTIVE TOUCHSCREEN:
Resistive TFT you can touch with nails, stylus, anything. Capacitive not!! Iphone is capacitive.

i thought id try the phone for its 8 megapixel camera which was fine butwhen porting over my contact list only got as far as "l" which is a real pain as ive got approx 500 contacts but also a real pain was that it only allowed 14 letters per contact so was useless if u have forenames and multiple surnames to search through

EXPERIENCE WITH RESISTIVE TOUCHSCREEN:
M8800 Pixon is very good features phone with Samsung OS.
Very important to know is that a "resistive touchscreen" are much better than "capacitive touchscreen" even if reviews says for capacitive. This are the people who doesnt use this phone easch day. Remember this. :)
Why?
Because "resistive touchscreen" does the job like real one keyboard. Yes, real one. You must press like real key and this is realy good experience.
On the resistive touchscreen you can put your finger (in car) on the screen, slowly, without pressing something!!! :) This is like on the real phone-keyboard. Samsung M8800 has very good vibra-featback. By pressing you feel click-clack, like on the real keyboard.
Capacitive touchscreens are to much sensitive and another experience :(

please dont buy this mobile.
touch screen goes caput
takes ages to unlock if widsets are present
side buttons are intrusive upon usage
man the woes are endless
jus waitin to change my set

im thinking of buying the pixon...but was wondering if it has a chat box like the blackberry.....i hate to go to inbox and outbox to check messages and like it when all your chat with a person is in one box together....could you answer this question for me please...thank you....
