When the phone is locked it will display 'you have 1 new message', when you unlock it theres a square that says 'New Message' And also displays the senders name

only 4x zoom but due to high pixel count, it looks good when u zoom in when u view it on phone and comp.

1. you can definitly, 100% add any tone of your choice to be your message alert or ringtone
2. The sound from the loudspeaker is loud and crisp
3. Yes, digital Zoom is only 4x, and also for some reason you cannot zoom when recording , you have to zoom it first then hit record

Also, is this better than the Omnia II? I won't be using it to edit documents so what else do you need a smartphone for?

Hi all
Current phone is the Samsung G600, and really want one of these. On the G600 you can't change the sms/mms tone to anything other than the presets (i.e. no mp3s etc) does the Pixon12 allow you to do this? I read somewhere that all new Samsungs allow you to, but thought I would just check.

Ok mine arrived today, it is a multimedia dream!!!!
The camera quality is stunning, and the videos are great!!! Taken some pictures indoors and quite dark and the photos come out fantastic with the flash, no red eyes or anything!!!!
one thing that bugs me i have to say though, when i make a call the screen locks itself and you have to hold the unlock button for about 2 seconds to be able to press any buttons or activate loudspeaker, anyone know how to stop this...?
Apart from that though, fantastic phone!!!
