Samsung are throwing everything in one direction touch wiz camera and sorry to say what made them near to nokia is them away where is user in last years say 5 percent touch generation is added on samsung you are forgetting 95 percent of rest i ve been using cells since 1996 and i cant use touch only devices infact full qwerty or half are difficult old still stands good to me at 32 years of age

th... moreNokia N86 still has the best camera quality up to date. The 12 Megapixel phones of SE and Samsung fall short in terms of quality.
Nokia is releasing a 20 MP camera phone next year.

Why do Samsung bring out high end Fun phone without symbiam or win mo? i mean i would want a browser like Skyfire to run at least and proper applications.

its not the same quality..12 mp photos are more refined than the 1.3mp,2mp,3mp,3.15mp,5mp,8mp and so on..
due to capturing more pixels...the details are sharper..
bt the lens play a part as well..
its not really a market gimmick..it really makes a difference..and since this has a 28mm lens..
it shld make a diff atleast...

12 mega pixels photo contain more detail.But, if we use same chip and lens that was used for an 8 Mega pixel photo, it will have less clarity than that of an 8 mega pixel photo. please wait till the actual review comes out, and choose a better phone.

In the wake of Satio's official announcement Samsung have announced their own 12 MP offering; the Pixon 12. The name isn't exactly inspired, but at least it's practical. The Pixon 12 is, as the name suggests, essentially a Pixon with a 12 MP camera. There are a few new features to be fair such as faster shutter speeds and quicker picture saving times so that another can be snapped off within 2 seconds of the last one. The real news though is that the Pixon 12, or the M8910 to give it it's proper title, will be available in European markets at the end of June. That means that it will have a four month head start on Satio, but Sony Ericsson may not be too worried because whilst the Pixon 12 is essentially a rehash of the existing Pixon Satio is a brand new handset. Of course some people may find 12 MP irresistable and go for the first one they see ...

this phone is nice but sony ericssons call quality, nicer interface and merging of walkman and cybershoot phones are a better long term value. i never got the reception with samsung i get with sony ericsson.

DLNA, 03 Jun 20098 Mp or 12 Mp is same quality, just marketing gimmick t"o m... moreThe one who wrote that it's the same quality with 8 and 12MP have one point with what he said because if the lens is of the same size with 8MP and 12MP it will be more blur with the 12MP camera if not the light is perfect...so it's more important to have a big lens, that have more to do with the quality than the pixels.
But my opinion is that the other functions on a phone are the most important ones and the camera is just for fun and don't need to be as good as a real camera. For professional photos you will probably use a real camera instead...
