The SMS bug existed from the days of Omnia 7.It can be fixed via certain keycodes.Nokia is suffering from the call ending bug for which a fix is yet to arrive ;) .

It is still not working with omnia w. The key code works with Omnia 7.

For Nokia it is the first entry. Only Lumia 900 can claim to beat omnia :) still it has no Gyro I guess lolz .Maybe their cameras are better with carl zeiss etc.
Loking at Samsungs,HTC their strategy is more towards selling the best hardware be it any OS BADA,ANDROID,Windows they just need to sell their phones and give Nokia hell with respect to price point!!
They slashed their price just so it less than lumia 710 even though you can compare it with lumia 800 .Now lumia 800 price is dropped 23500 because of impending lumia 900 launch.Nokia is a dying company which lost its mojo long back all because of LG,HTC,SAMSUNG .
Purely from a pricing perspective you cant beat the Koreans.They can slash their price just to sell.Nokia cannot!!!They invest in massive add campaigns.
Software updates yes I have owned Samsung before C3530(ordinary bar phone) they never put up a firmware update in 1 yr.
This being a smartphone maybe they will push firmware updates if needed.The phone is good.The microsoft breeze game has a bug.But NFS and rest work perfectly. I am not sure if it is an OS or SAMSUNG firmware issue.
BREEZE Game bug same is the case with livescape app due to the recent os upates where the phone will go to sleep mode
thus the apps cannot run in background so livescape prvides a workaround of using soft lock.(It is a constant problem when the OS and firmware have such conflicts!!!)

jus one last thing if u cud help with. Windows phone is nokia's primary smatphone OS now, and for samsung, its jus subsidiary, so do u think software support and regular updates n bug fixes are going to be an issue with omnia ??

I never had a single freeze for the past 3 weeks ok using it.I faced only one crash so far.This happed when I was trying to register to Vodafone network.This was a random crash not reproducible always.Even I had confusion with lumia.
Lumia 710 has no gyroscope...You can't play certain games without gyro like nfs ...Lumia doesn't have glonass GPS support...No a super Amoled display.
It is only fair to compare lumia 800 with Omnia w.
With Omnia you will not get Nokia maps and Nokia drive app.
lumia has good software(maps,drive) / Omnia has best hardware(battery,gyro,glonass,super amoled)
Its your choice!

Went through most comments over the phone,
searched online..
Wanna buy this cell, but cant decide coz of 3
problems :
1. SMS not sent, neither recieved over 3G network ( is thr any fix available or in works for it ?
Does every single set have the issue ? Any work around temporarily ?)
2. Cant send messages to multiple contacts and deliver report problems ?
3. Phone freeze on lock screen after recieving texts ? ( Does the phone actually hang ? Have anyone of you faced this problem ? How frequently does this happen ?)
Also, is LUMIA 710 better than samsung OMNIA W from
SOFTWARE AND AFTER SALES SUPPORT
PRESPECTIVE....?????? As WP is nokia's primary OS whereas for samsung its jus subsidiary, are updates going to be regular ??
Need urgent help.. Please guys, reply.. ASAP PLEASE!! I wanna buy it eagerly..!!

With normal use with WiFi and data kept on only when needed and play games and watch videos moderately it will last you 18 hrs .I keep my brightness setting to low.
If I set brightness to medium 16 hrs.
