You can download all the apps you want from the windows market place in your phone , you don't require any pc to do that , you cannot download mp3 songs and videos from your favorite sites which you can normally do on a android /symbian platform
Bluetooth is only for Bluetooth dongle and stereo headset , you cannot transfer photos or music from WP7 to other phones
Browsers are very limited in market place you will find some known browsers like surfcube 3d and many unknown browsers , u will not find famous browsers like opera or fire fox ,

i had samsung galaxy s plus , and after using it for 4 months and no clarity on ICS upgrade i sold it out to a friend and brought Samsung omnia w , from sulekha.com for at a best price of just 16250 only . much cheaper then Android phones with similar specification , since Galaxy S Plus costed me 21.5k , people may say it was a downgrade but i don't thinks so , phone has 1.4 GHZ processor with 512 MB Ram , along with Super Amoled , 3.7 inch screen . so now about the phone and the os that's Windows phone 7 . and my journey from a high end Android phone to a Windows phone 7
Pros of phone and os .
Dedicated camera key is a blessing , so is the 1500 Mah battery , with 3g and wifi battery lasts around 13 hours . which is much better then Galaxy S Plus which even with 1650 Mah at could last 12 hours .
Windows Phone 7 OS , just never freezes or gets stuck with more then 20 apps i had , no hanging at all which was common in android , so thumbs up here .
Skydrive is amazing and speed too is good , so is windows live you can lock or erase your data remotely if phone is lost or been robbed and Zune is much easier then itunes to use , but still needs improvement , in sections like back up option .
X-box and apps , collection is pretty good and you will find most of the android apps in windows market place .
cons and os limitations
SMS BUG : India mobile users may face a sms bug which is in WP7 , i use airtel connection and since airtel doesn't have 3G licence in my area , they use Vodafone 3G services , so airtel for 2G and Vodafone for 3G , so here comes the problem , some time WP7 refuses to send a sms or text has called , due to this , in Android i never had this problem , so my network had no idea about the problem , so after bit of research i was able to solve or over come the problem , but the bug remains and will only be a nag
No flash support in IE-9 and no opera support makes the phone big bore in terms of browsing internet in the phone and lack of alternative browsers like firefox or opera is a big headache , since i don't surf on phone much , but i miss opera hope they come soon .
No Songs / Video download , when ever you want to download mp3 songs or videos from certain sites which most of Indians don't like to pay for , its a problem every time you click on a link to download something , Zune will kick in and play it for you , so you cannot practically download any thing in your mobile , missing android over here .
Email attachments limited to pictures only and not documents attachment support is a bid down turner .
Bluetooth transfers are missing and i hope that will be sorted out in next upgrade .
Saint Bling : its pretty much useless search engine especially for Indians who are hooked to Google , why i call it a saint is just type sex or porn and you have zero results
i am seriously looking for windows phone 8 to take care of this nagging issues and come big and limitations in the current WP7 are taken care off by them

Samsung provides great cameras to its flagship devices like Galaxy S, Wave 8500 and Galaxy SII. I expected the same in case of Omnia W as well but disappointed to learn that the camera is just good, not great. I owned a Wave 8500 earlier and I must say that camera experience was one of a kind. It was a perfection. Why not Samsung did the same here?

One more thing Lumia 800 does not have front camera for video call; Omnia W wins on this feature too

I wanted to buy any Android phone; but when i saw this phone in Mall; i fell in love with Windows phones.
this phone is awesome and far more better than Lumia phones of Nokia
The only thing that disappoint me is that it does not support Divx and also dont have flash support
but if you look into Lumia 800 it too does not have these features, so if i have to buy WP only. i would opt for Omnia W raher than Lumia 800 as it give all its features that too in half price
Omnia's AMOLED screen and touch sensors are the best i have ever seen

Hi Guys,
I am planning to buy this phone but as reading most of the opinions I am quite confuse now.
1. Is the bluetooth working on this phone.
2. What means by java pages doesnt open.
3. Internet is working on it or not?
Please someone answer these questions and let me know whether I can buy this or should go for Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo V.
