umesh , 27 Oct 2011I have a confusion to buy samsung w i8350 or samsung galaxy... morei'd personally go with the omnia w. windows phone 7 has a minimalist interface and i'm a minimalist so it would be awesome for me. android seems too confusing and the user interface is very cluttered. I am well-acquainted with androids as many friends of mine use it and try as I might I just cannot get used to it. There's just too many apps to do things whereas windows allows a simple and straightforward way to do things and it is done so efficiently. One app for one specific purpose, much like iOS. The greatest thing about windows though is how it integrates apps with the native OS and that i think is brilliant. I reckon iOS and Android will head in that direction too and actually iOS has already done this with its twitter integration. WP7 is the way of the future.

ed, 13 Oct 2011this has HTC written all over it!!! nope its not htc because all windows phones will almost be the same because it is microsoft that has strict specifications for software and hardware for wondows phone, an example is the UI can not be costumized by manufacturers

No worries, the apps posted have to go through the marketplace which is monitored BY Microsoft. So its safe (similar to the apps store in Apple). No viruses. It's different concept from downloading software from third party websites to install on your computer where you will not know whether there are any virus unless you have a virus scanner running on your pc.

It is a fairly simple design but I quite like it. It would be better if it had nicer specs. I know WP7 devices definitely aren't the majority but hopefully it will grow and more developers create same, popular apps as in iOS and Android devices. I like the Metro UI a lot but I'm just going to wait (even if it will be for 1-2 years) till there aren't any hardware limitations (i.e. higher resolution screen). I don't care much for dual core because WP7 devices don't need it and all it will do is waste battery.

Why are Samsung windows phones don't have that Gorilla glass disply? At that price it's quite essential to be there...!!
