Samsung opens up Galaxy Note9 pre-orders in United States

Yordan, 02 August 2018

Samsung is launching the Galaxy Note9 on August 9. The date is a bit earlier than usual, but this is due to the poor Galaxy S9 performance on the market. The Korean company has just opened pre-orders (also called reservations) on its US website, sweetening the deal with $450 savings when you trade your current smartphone.

Samsung does not specify this is the Galaxy Note9, but the visuals suggest this is indeed the phablet. You can enter name, email and ZIP code to reserve a unit for you. There are six options for carriers - Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile, Sprint, US Cellular or an unlocked device, meaning Samsung will offer the Note9 in the carriers’ offline stores as well.

The trade-in includes only four smartphone manufacturers - Samsung, Apple, LG, and Google, but can give you offers for over 35 phones, including a Galaxy S7 phone with a cracked screen. For example, if you want to switch from iPhone X or Galaxy S9+ to Galaxy Note9, the new phone will be $450 cheaper, but if you give up your 4,5-year old Galaxy S5, you’ll get a discount of only $150.

The Samsung Galaxy Note9 is expected to have 6.4” Infinity Display with AMOLED panel. It will run on Snapdragon 845 or Exynos 9810 and will have 6 GB RAM. There is a dual camera on the back, with one of them expected to be with variable aperture f/1.5-f/2.4. The fingerprint scanner makes its way below the camera setup, while the front keeps the iris scanner and 8 MP selfie camera with f/1.7 lens.

Well, you'll have to wait for them to actually be released and tried. But in when it comes to top tier, I'm in favor of Samsung. In midrange, I'd choose huawei over Samsung.

Mate 9 has natural colors but I like punchy colors and yes S7 is still a great phone I dont see the need of upgrading it but that my opinion
