this phone is good only if it is cheap...it looks like n80 a little and the functions are from d500....this is a comercial phone...do you al think that is profitable to make phones only from 1000$up with lots of features?

@Smiley17
Do you have any informatuon to support that N80 is the 1st UMA phone? News reports suggest, this is the 1st of a kind. To me
N80 is just a phone with WiFi/3g/GRRS/EDGE.

I dont like this design either. Seems like Samsung was working on this concept for some time.... way before they designed D800/D820/D840/D870/D900.
@the person posted below.
Please grow up. its not about design. Samsung already has lots of eye catching models to go for and they are not out yet. Its about a new technology.. UMA....and of course its an "Innovation", no one else has it so far in the market.
Cheers!.

my opinion is:
i think N80 is the first phone with UMA,..
i hate this phone's design to be frank,.. D600 has the best slider design for samsung,.. but BTW, this phone is meant for people who likes it, so i dont bash this phone...

It is the world's first commercial mobile phone to which UMA technology is applied. So Samsung used one of their old design. That can be understood.In future they might add some slik ones if UMA becomes popular.Its not like how come they can release this after D800/D820/D840.
UMA allows free switching between cellular networks such as GSM, GPRS, EDGE and wireless LAN networks (WiFi), offering seamless connectivity.
But Samsung really needs to short out their model names. So many of them looks same but has differnt numbers.Its hard to memorize now. This is simply creating confusion and gives negetive impresion.
Why they cant just add a "U" after D510 or somthing like that. Cheers anyway!
