Just got this great phone from 3WM on ebay, is absolutely awesome! Small, sexy and my gf loves it. I was in costco the other day watching friends on it and the amount of looks i got was unbelievable. Would recommend it!
Battery life is good, mp3 is loud, screen resolution is excellent also. Can not fault it!

How to see full screen video of files stored on memory card.....

Is there direct access to memory card using Bluetooth........

How can I record conversations during talking to someone on the phone. Is there any method other than going to the main menu ?

Why I can't minimize the music player to read message or do other stuff while music is still playing!!!!??? This is ridiculous.

Hi All, I just got this wonderful cell 2 days back and am very satisfied with my device. However, I do have some queries. If any of you specially se23 (as he is very helpful and knowledgable) can help me out i will be grateful......

          1) Normally we store more than one mobile no. in a name. This phone expects only one mobile no. and some residence no. and office nos. So when I write an sms, it allows me to only send it to the mobile no. stored against the mobile picture. One solution to this i found is that go to the target mobile no. first and then go to its options to send sms. Any other direct method?

          2) I cannot see full screen video of mp4 and 3gp files stored on memory card. Any way out?

          3) Is there direct access to memory card using USB. And is there direct access to memory card using Bluetooth. Please treat these as 2 different questions.

          4) Can I record conversations during talking to someone by any means? I do not mean recording in standby mode.

5)I can very clearly use A2DP to transfer music files to my motorola Stereo Bluetooth. And the voice is very good. However, is it possible to transfer video sound to A2DP so that one can see Heroes without disturbing others?

          6) Is it possible to create folders inside music folder in memory card effectively so that the music player can identify it and play songs from inside such folders? I have about 300 songs which if kept under a single folder can be a cumbersome job.

Thank you so much in advance.......

I was hoping for a system upgrade from the P300, but that was hoping against hope. No change except for non-system changes, i.e., screen, appearance, etc. Phone's still basically a piece of crap, and in fact because of the more battery-intensive screen, the battery life is diminished from the P300 and the "wallet battery" has increased in size to compensate. This phone cannot stray too far from the "wallet battery" as it will die in short order: 30 minutes if you're using the web browser. With the phone in its wallet it actually becomes a very LARGE and very HEAVY phone; nothing small about it.

My biggest gripe about the Samsung operating system is that it's JAVA implementation is still restricted -- despite what you do with entering codes and all -- in that while Samsung claims the P310 is a MIDP 2.0 machine, it's really not since it can't run the same programs a very basic, plain vanilla Nokia S40 MIDP 2.0 can run. Nav4All (great program) is a perfect example. You can download that entire program, voice and all, on a Nokia (mine) 6111 (a smaller and more feature-packed phone) and have it run flawlessly. Try to even download that program on the P310 -- it won't have it. It errors out halfway through the download. Moreover, the phone has the worst installer I've ever seen. Some programs can only be downloaded via PC while others can only be downloaded OTA -- and that's if they'll download at all. It's crazy. As such, without going into more detail, the phone's not MIDP 2.0 compliant as it's advertised. JAVA standards are in place for a reason: to inform the consumer that a particular phone will behave in a manner similar to another of like standard. This is not the case with Samsung; and it's a damn good reason to stay away from them until they do.

Hi, for those interested I finally was able to activate Java.

I just entered the code *#9998*52824678255# and then i instantly got the message "activated".

I can now install games on my precious phone, yippie :)

              untill next time

Is there anyway I can have the calendar on the standbyscreen/desktop on the phone?

Hi everybody! I've had the phone a couple of days now but I havn't really had the time to play around with it yet.

What I can say is that it is a beautiful phone wich pictures really cant convey! My brother who works at LG and is a hardcore LG fan is trying to persuade me to sell it to him, hehehe fat chance :)

One thing that I haven't figured out or had se23 help me with yet... (thanks se23) is where I'm supposed to write #*9998*javainstall# to activate javainstalls. the standbyscreen only prints number so I'm a little confused, well 'till next time

                          regards

Sound is not low... we're using a lot of cell phones here. I repeat, " sound is O.K. " very clear. No problems at all. In office 3 people is using P310. Very happy with it.

Also someone asked, vib + ring ?
It can vibrate and ring at the same time. You have to load a vibrating MMF ring. Thats all.

Finally my friends using their phone 24/on with leather case on for 7-8 days without charging. Brilliant !!!

Hi kevin I think it is supported because even with a 1gb it used to take about 15- 20 secs to open an episode of heroes. I just think it's the phone, but again even with it's few drawbacks I still love the phone

Hi kevi yeah reading from memory card is not that fast, but it works good when listening to mp3 from the player which I think is more important.
