Warning: Fully CHARGE DEVICE FIRST
option 1:
1. install SAMSUNG KIES on pc and update it.
2. Connect P6200 to pc then it will tell you there is new FIRMWAREclick install or upgrade.
3. WAIT till it finish installing. DO NOT UNPLUG the device when updating
4. When the device restarted and you see the lock screen it is finished updating.
5. ENJOY the new ICS
option 2
WARNING: These process may brick your device
PRE REQUESITES
PC required better if it is a laptop with a good battery backup
A. go to google search for Samsung Odin for your device and download it then extract if it is a rar or zip file.
B. go to sammobile.com/firmware type on search P6200. Look for your country and carrier then download.
C. After download for sammobile extract it and you will get a .md5 extenstion
STEPS
1. Fully charge the device then turn off
2. On the PC Run Odin check autoreboot and ftime reset ONLY then click PDA search for the update file (with md5 extension) you download from sammobile.
3.on the device HOLD POWER and VOLUME DOWN it will go to download mode. Continue when asked
4. Connect device to pc Odin will message connected then click START
5. WAIT TILL FINISH device will auto reboot and update itself
6. Finished

I'm planning to buy this. This will be my very first android gadget. How do I update this to ICS? Can it be done via OTA? Or do I have to plug it on a PC (I'm using a Macbook Pro)? Thanks. Noob here. :-)

Samsung just rollout ice cream sandwich for tab 620 7.0 plus India ...performance and battery improved a lot with wonderful interface...
