Panicker, 15 Mar 2011"Tablet with no GSM voice communication capabilities&q... moreFirstly mobile phones were supposed to be used primarily for calling purpose then all the secondary features like texting msgs, surfing web, watching movies, youtube videos , playing games etc.. but now the least we use in a phone is calling n all secondary features r our primary preferences. whenever a new mobile device is launched the first thing we see in the specs is how much is the processor speed, is it a dual-core ?, how much ram does it have?,if it has lesser ram v cannot multitask btwen apps n web n music. what is the screen technology?
v dont care abt voice calling capabilities n this mobile device is a tablet my friend.
it is meant 2 b used 4 all the secondary features n many more i mentioned above.
what do u expect 4m a 10.1 inch tablet that v would b making gsm voice calls by keeping next 2 our ears?
Don't b greedy 4 features which r not useful,when u can make video calls who needs voice calls anyway.
Priorities have been changed so move on.

Does the Galaxy tab 10.1 has the same screen like the Motorola Xoom, or it has a better one?

Samsung is much more defined and the spec more improve than apple. Apple can't make a call. Samsung does

I am a novice in this field. Galaxy Tab can save, edit word and excel files.? It can work also as a mini computer? GSM (mobile) and skype telephone also can be done? The multi screen tasking is as fast as IPAD? Equal to 'facetime' any programme available?
When it will be available in Kuwait and India.?
Pls can anybody answer to me. Anybody knows the price of this?

Apple deliberately decided not to make the iPad 2 a phone, they don't need to and they don't want to.
Just look how successful the iPad 1 was WITHOUT phonecalling. Nobody wants phonecalls from their iPad.
This applies to the iphone 4 too, right? :) :) :)

i think it sounds good. nice easy to to use does most things a general laptop will do. but easier to carry.
i sell these things for a living and i think this one will be easy to move all the stock. android is taking over in the telcom world.
now being able to pair it with main source of internet... piece of cake.

The specs for this is so much better than the new iPad2.Apple lover should really open their eyes to the specs of other product rather than stick to the Apple name blindly.I'm not an Apple hater.I myself own a MacBook 'cause it suits my need.Be smart and buy stuff that's really worth the money you pay.

Why won't all of you commenters just buy both devices? If you want to do some business, use galaxy tab 2. For freetime,gamers,bored people. Use Ipad 2. Why wasting time to comment rather than just use these 2 devices!

they say it cant make calls, what about sms?? is it able to send sms or mms???
