Well i have jst bought a samsung p860 from a friend in hong kong it is brand new and it works fine in the UK, I am using the mobile phone company T-mobile and it is fine. The only problem is that the screen is a touch screen and there was any touch screen plastic pens with the phone. I am happy and they do work in UK.

PeteMC !!!! you sould not buy any products from Alibaba or those stupid B2B connection web site..at least if the company is Authorised by the web site.! i am Korean ... and i have 23 Mobile phone shop in Korea... there is no GSM mobile phone in Korea...
all phones are made for CDMA... at least Samsung making for Export goods. and those one you can not get. in Korea... the best and cheap place to buy GSM phones are... from China or Hong Kong
as i am also selling Parallel Imported Phones in New Zealand. i always get GSM phones from Hong Kong or China.

Mr Pete, I am in uk and being offered a SAMSUNG SGH-P310 from Alibaba, im still in the process of checking this guy out, he has a small business based in europe, and claims he has a friend in korea who sells him the odd phone here and there. I'm cautious because this hasn't been released in UK, US or EU that this phone will be as you have already stated for this model will be more advanced and will not work on our standard GSM networks even if the guy is genuine, which i doubt. Can you give me your thoughts. Thank you

I found this phone on ebay for sale from one seller for about $550 USD. Do you guys think it's worth buying? The user doesn't even have insurance for it.

if you wanted to know the full features of the phone you should have read one of the comments i left a while ago. GSM arena did not give the full specifications of the phone, the only good feature they did mention was the camera. The CCD camera and high-sensitivity flash allow the user to take the same quality pictures one gets from a top-end digital camera. Similar to Samsung's premium grade camera phones, the S250 can also function as a camcorder. The 92MB onboard memory can store up to 100 minutes of video (320x240), and a 32MB auxiliary memory is included as a standard feature. The shutter speed is as fast as 1/1,000 th of a second, allowing the user to film beautiful landscapes as well as subjects as close as 10 cm. The S250 can be connected to a TV to display video during shooting or to show footage that has already been recorded in the mobile phone. The S250 comes with a unique "stretch" design, reminiscent of the futuristic phones seen in the movie The Matrix . The high-quality camera lens and LCD remain covered and protected when the phone is closed, and when it is stretched open, the product has the feel of a regular digital camera. Samsung has also set a new standard in mobile phone display technology. Until now, mobile phones had been equipped with LCDs capable of 262,000-color resolution. The S250 boasts a QVGA TFD-LCD Thin Film Diode-Liquid Crystal Display) that has previously been adapted only for top-end TVs and desktop monitors. The display can reproduce 16 million colors, over 60 times the color compared to existing mobile phone displays, all the hues found in nature; thus, QVGA resolution has been referred to as “true color.” Samsung has also taken voice recognition to a higher level by introducing text-to-speech (TTS) conversion. Now the user can listen to incoming text messages or the prepared "to-do" list rather than having to read them. The S250 supports high-image-quality games and 3D sound effects. If a call is received in the middle of a game, the user can restore the game later and resume play. Other advanced functions in the S250 include an MP3 player, mobile banking capability and 64-polyphonic sound. Samsung cooperated with the Japan-based Asahi Pentax, one of the most respected camera lens providers in the world, to develop a camera module customized for the mobile phone. And to anyone who says they have this phone or that they are getting it, i highly doubt it unless you live in south koreaa. This phone was specifically designed for samsung's retail service provider "ANYCALL". The phone is not even a GSM phone, it runs on a CDMA2000 1x network. I dont know why this phone is even on GSMARENA because it shouldn't be.

Hey Anton if you like 5MP cam phones you should see the LG KG920 or to go higher than that...the SCH-B600. I think if we want phones like this with "good features" as lucas mentioned, then we gotta go visit korea hahaha. Thanks Lucas.

no tom, samsung isnt going to release any phones with that form factor in the u.s. because this is the only phone they ever made with that form factor. they might in the future but i highly doubt it. and the phones that they sell in the u.s. block all of the good features.

Hey Peter, are any phones from Anycall/Samsung with that kind of form factor going to arrive in the U.S.? The inter-sliding type of form factor.

If America and Europe has 3G which lets you watch short video clips, in South Korea many providers (SK telecom, KTF, LG Telecom) are providing DMB service (Digital Multimedia Broadcasting)it allows users of those providers and phones to watch live tv and etc on your cellphone. So I wouldn't recomend anyone in getting this phone. 3G or DMB is th future and Anycall has been pushing for that since 2005 and its being released all over the world especially europe and asia (America has VCAST for verizon but thats nothing).

                                      thank you peter.

i am glad to see that im not the only person that knows alot about mobile phones. i dont know why no one that comes to this website knows what anycall is. anycall is a service provider owned by samsung, and samsung releases their best mobiles there and only there( in south korea). the phones are so much more advanced there that they will probably never be available overseas. when i was in south korea i went to an anycall store and i couldnt belive how amazing the phones were. when i was there i tested out this phone and its not really called the p860, its really the s250, and i tested out the sch-b200. i know they have better ones out now from when i was there last time, but those were the two most amazing phone i have ever seen.
