Samsung Pay launches in Italy

Peter, 22 March 2018

“Quanto costa?” asks Samsung Pay as it launches in Italy, its 21st market. The service works just about anywhere that credit and debit cards are accepted – both NFC and the older magnetic type.

Besides paying, you can also take advantage of membership cards and promo coupons to bring down the price.

Samsung Pay also has some exclusive deals in Italy – users get up to 20% discounts on some popular brands, including Moleskin, Daybreak Hotel, EF Education and Leroy Merlin.

Incredible how slow the market coverage goes. How difficult can be to go worldwide especially in countries with similar laws.. such as countries in EU.

With so many nfc payment services launching very slow worldwide and with such few phones supporting this feature, I doubt this is gonna become a big thing pretty soon.
