Samsung reportedly working on two more foldable smartphones

Sagar, 06 March 2019

Last month Samsung unveiled its first foldable smartphone - the Galaxy Fold, and it appears the company is now working on two more foldable smartphones with a different design.

The Galaxy Fold comes with an inward notebook-like design, but one of these upcoming smartphones will fold similarly to the Huawei Mate X - a screen that will wrap around the device instead of folding inwards.

The other foldable smartphone will be similar to the upcoming Motorola RAZR. It will come with a vertically folding display with a smaller one placed outside. However, Samsung may remove the extra screen depending on how customers respond to the smaller screen on the Galaxy Fold.

Samsung plans to unveil the vertically folding phone later this year or in early 2020, with the one folding outwards coming later.

If Samsung can make a scratch-resistant out-folding phone that's similar in size to the Fold footprint (the Mate X is ridiculously too big and not pocketable at all), I would totally get one. Not for $2000+ though. That's stupid expensive.
