This was my first phone. Bought it in 2002. Absolutely loved the look and finish and the blue LCD screen. some 17 phones later i still think it was the best looking phone i have used. Sold it after 3 years, for just 500 less than the then current price. For nostalgia sake now, i wish i hadnt. used quite a few Samsung phones after that but none came close to matching the beauty or the thrill this 'first new' phone provided me with....And the casino game..gosh loved that too.

really good phone of old generation. very beautiful, strong structure, graceful. i am using it since february 2004. still voice quality is excellent but battery now getting weaker. also takes very long time to recharge almost three to four hours. can we get a new battery for R-220

yes R220 is such a good phone becoz anyone who used it any time , or who lost it will love to keep one as an asset.

It is amazing phone 7 years passed without any battery replacement.whereas i have replaced 3 years ago my nokia battery.
this phone is still giving 3 days battery backup.

hi all.....my dad present me this phone first time at 2004.now he is no more.butr the phone was working properly since then.it has very good battery backup.very hardy and i face no problem after 5 years.that is very true that old is gold.

This phone was also my very first phone in 2002! It was very solid! But sold it 3 years later! I was making place for Samsung X105!

I had this mobile in year 2002. This was my second phone. Earlier I had Nokia 2110. It had a nice feature of multicolor service light. Its display was very bright and could be used as a torch. At that time no torch phones were available. This phone had an external antenna, which combining with dust in India gave me great problems in connectivity. I, some how, used it for almost one and half years and exchanged it with Nokia 2600.

Its a brilliant phone - the battery is super long, the voice clarity is very clear, its user friendly and small. I love the blue lcd light, it makes the phone look very funky. The phone itself also looks very nice.
