Samsung is beta testing the Nougat update for the Galaxy S7 duo and it’s using this as an opportunity to improve and renovate TouchWiz. A PDF file details how to get into the beta program and what kind of changes to expect.

Many of those come straight from Android 7.0 Nougat. You can change the DPI of the screen, grouping notifications and quick replies (from notifications). Icons and the split-screen have been adjusted to look closer to Material aesthetics.

TouchWiz itself is changing - Samsung clawed back some precious screen space by being more selective about placing labels, splitting stuff to pages and moving infrequently used things onto a second level of option screens.

Key apps are learning new tricks too - the Always on display gets new clock designs and custom colors, the launcher has Pixel-like app app shortcuts, the camera gets swipe gestures
