the phone got excellent features
camera is superb,sound is great display is great
theme uplaoad application is also great
but the battery back up is very low
n there is 1 problem that we cant send a file having more memory than phone memory
we cant set memory card as our default memory
plz gv suggestiions if u know

Hey SnM n others, Im considering d 3310 n Nokia 2700
My priorities-
1. Decent sunlight display legibility (assuming that both are good indoors)
2. Fairly good battery performance as per my usage (see below)
3. Reliable and fairly smooth OS/UI
4. Loudspeaker thats audible outdoors for ringtones
5. Physically sturdy n durable
My average usage wud look sumthing like this-
5-7 calls @ 5mins avg, Sending 4-5 msgs, abt 1 hr music playback in earphones, 10 mins of games/fiddling around, negligible camera n web usage...
I'm open to other options at this price point (except the 5130XM, which Im sick of!)

The final decision to buy rests with the buyer.
I dont wish to discourage anyone from choosing this phone for battery consideration alone and I doubt whether a better all round VFM package is available else where at this price point and with features that actually work quite well.
My 2.5 years older workhorse nokia 6030 (with a thick BL5C battery) still gives a 4-5 days between charging for high to moderate usage but it doesn't have camera,mp3 player, bluetooth, usb and ofcorse the looks.

this phone does have a so called in-flight mode (its actually named offline mode- avlble as the last option in the profiles menu)

This mobile has great looks.But the battery life dissapoints.It has great multimedia features and has good sound quality.It's a feature rich phone.A good phone.

Thanks again for your detailed description on battery life. That was exactly what I was looking for. Something that talks about usage and battery depletion instead of a blanket statement saying that the battery lasts 1 day, or some such thing.
My usage will be a little more than yours - a few snaps every day, ~30 mins mp3 every day, ~20 mins talk and viewing text (reminders) for 5 mins (again on a daily basis). Also, can't afford to turn it off in the night as I use it as an alarm.
I guess with such relatively heavy usage, I should be looking at some other phone as the S3310 will, in all probability, give me a day and a half. But, I'd fallen for this mobile and was even willing to buy an extra battery (and I guess, I still am)
The one-port-do-it-all will be an issue and I may not be able to able to charge it if I am traveling.
About not able to call when charging from the USB cable- that's with most of these devices. And, yes. I'll check for the package contents before buying it. I definitely need the USB cable.
About the USB cable- sorry, my mistake - I didn't read the para in your first post properly.

Reasons : Camera Clarity , Sound , Internal memory , User friendly , Automatic wallpaper changing in Display Mp3/Mp4 player and etc........
more than money value. if u buy this phone u also love it . two colors avail . 1. black with silver 2. red with silver . i LOVE this phone
