yup u can istall hell lot of games n softwares on s3500.
i hav 40 games n softwares on my phone.
bro i hav tried everything from kd player to walkman p but u knw no 3rd party software can b as good as the default one... all these third party software r really third class n by the way why u want software for music n video player in the first place wen u got awesome music n video player in s3500.
u can create as many playlist as u want, u got one click equilizer setting, u got music sorting option like all tracks, recently played, last played, most played, artist, genres, albums etc
video player is also great.

there are two things i wann tell u here:
first of all it has 5 bettery bars shown at the upper right end of the fone n wenever its 3 bars dissappears people thought that bettery is drained out but u knw friend its remaining two bars last for lot more than u expect....
they give u much more power than earlier three bars....
secondly bro u hav recently bought this phone... its brand new for u....its ur exploring phase goin on... u r using it more often than one can usually do. most of the time u'll b clickin it to get familier with its features @ this point of time ur bettery will drain fast coz u r using more of it now. so it will take some days wen u start using it moderately. i remember wen i bought this phone at least for a week i used it extensively .... i ws exploring all of its awesome functions.

u dont have to ask others buddy jus check out the specs n decide wat u want(coz both the phones have diff specs) rather than allow others to decide which one is the best for u....
first of all take the look at pics of both the phone n decide wat u want... the one advantage here bout s3500 is its premium brushed mettalic look (i hate plastic slide phones) s3500 looks much costlier/luxurious.
but if u like colourfull phone than go for m2710.
s3500 is more sleek...width:14.3mm
m2710 : 16mm
s3500 has 1 crore 60 lakh colours whereas m2710 has jus 256 thousand colours(really big diffrence....62 time more colours).
s3500 screen is big
cam of s3500 is much better than the other... infact the best cam in its price segment.
in short m2710 is jus a music phone whereas s3500 is a allrounder phone: awesome looks + awesome specs + awesome music + awesome cam+ awesome camcorder + awesome features.(read its great features in earlier comments)
one advantage here with m2710 is u'll get 3.5mm jack with it... although its not a big deal u can anytime buy a 3.5mm adapter @ as low as Rs 50.
choice is yours buddy.

regarding converting the avi file
use the samsung PC Studio
select toolbox-videoconverter and then copy the converted file to mobile

Hmm... I think my battery worn out very fast. I just charge 6 hrs yesterday from a low bat status and i got to bars left after 17 hrs. with lowest brightness settings, no music on keypad, keypad light turn on only at night.

first download "jad maker" (its a freeware jus google it) so that u can make a jad installer file and then download games of 240*320 resolution (upto 500kb)...convert the jar files into jad format wid the "jad maker"...after converting...u will get two files...one will be .jar and other will be .jad...put BOTH the files in the phone memory's 'other files' folder...when u paste both the files in ur phone through ur samsung pc studio..a installer will appear on ur mobile screen...click 'yes' and the game will be installed...
there is another way also u can paste both the files (jar & jad) in ur memory card "other files" folder than after disconnecting ur pc suite jus click(middle key) on the jar files n it will install the games......

Thank you boss for the wonderful review. I got the phone. And I like it a lot. The shorcuts, the message alert tone, the fake call, the mobile tracker. Never tried the Music player yet. Camera is also outstanding for the price it self. Panorama is the best feature of the camera. For a photographer like me its already good!! Thank you all for making me buy the s3500 wohooo...

moreover for ur kind information it not only plays but record QVGA video in MPEG4 and H.263 formats.
no other fone at its price can do that...lol

yup bro wenever u convert 800mb into mp4 format it will reduce to some 200/300 mb.
i m also wondering coz as i write earlier i naver faced such kinda situation...i hav converted hell lot of movies (2/3gb) into mp4 format through samsung suit converter ... n yup they are all completely converted.
moreover as i said...u can try other professional converters too.(google it)
hey who said u no rewind n forward....
OFCOURSE U CAN REWIND N FAST FORWARD both videos as well as audio files.
jus press n hold navigation keys left for rwd n right for ffwd.
watchin movies is fun on s3500
i have 5 movies on my phone....cheers.

And yes the movie is not complete...wonder why.
Another thng dude..are u comfortable watching a movie on this cell with no REW or FWD option.

yup bro u have to convert ur video into mp4 or 3gp format. try mp4 format much better than 3gp.
use samsung pc studio video converter to convert ur video files to mp4 format n enjoy.
watching movies on s3500 is really awesome thanks to its big tft screen n 16 million colours.

btw u can use many other converters too jus google it u'll find many.
