Buddy, It have very good customizable THEME CREATOR!!!
It is flexible according to your taste...

And another thing, i have about 22 games and 14 softwares in my s3500....But you are saying, s3500 is not adaptable to Java games...
This shows only your ignorance... Dont blame the phone for your ignorance... See my Previous comment "How to install Java games and apps on s3500"
It is very easy and nice to play games, because s3500 has 16M color and 2.2" inch display!!!

What is the latest software available for this phone and how do i upgrade the software in this phone...my videos in mp4 format are not playing...gives error 'unsupported media'

I guess this is the best phone in it's class & price range. HW and SW is total
Value for money.IT REALLY ROCKS!!!

However, given a chance I would like to give the following feedback (Very minor changes in SW) to Samsung
(if any of the following things not correct ,pl forgive me for my ignorance)

1. Idle mode should be having a greyed out display for clock, Battery charging
(Eg.Sony Ericcson K750)

2. Menu keys should be more configurable to reach the deepest submenu
eg.Like mapping a softkey to Blue tooth activation of main bluetooth menu or Inbox of messages etc..

3.PC suit synch up should be bidirectional for Message manager
eg.You can't delete a Message from PC suite

4. Template folder can't take inputs from Inbox, Sent Items or from PCSuits.
Basically you have to type/make message in Template folder.

5. In the Idle mode if screen gets locked in any screen other than your main screen(where you see clock/bbetry charger etc),
If you get a missed call/SMS,it doesn't shows up in screen ,instead you have to unlock the screen go back to main menu to see the same.
6. Should be supporting Window’s default USB MSD class drivers to avoid carrying the drivers everywhere to use it as pen drive

However this Phone is so damn goooooooood!!!!

i have all the great themes on my phone s3500 n the best part is they are according to my taste n my choice of colours n i can even customize them according to my will.... if u talk bout games i have 40 games installed in my phone... n my phone has hell lot of awesome features which u cant even dream of....(read comment below n envy the features...lol)

I dont like this phone.. it cant have any of the great themes, hardly any game is adaptable. i feel so jealous that others can enjoy these cool features on nokia and other sets, and this samung cant have nethng. :(

You will get around 50 phones....
I confirm that S3500 is the best among that phone...
It has the following features where you cant find in other phones even if you spent 2 to 3 thousands more!!!!
2MP camera... AWESOME....

Video resolution 320 x 240, qvga video recording... VERY GOOD.....the video is even more better.....

Fake call mangaement.... due to this facility you can just clicking a button, a fake call will come that will prevent you from critical situations....

Bluetooth which you can browse other phones files....Really awesome feature, that i never seen in other phones....

Loud and crystal clear sound....

Display clarity with 16M colors...so you can get lively images....

2.2 inch display(That you never see in nokia phone of this range, even if you spend two or three thousands extra)

Security management(can lock your sms,calender,call log, memory card, files, events, memo, task,etc...

sliding model with mettalic finish....

USB charging...Good feature at this price.....

FM with radio data system....

No limit for FM stations...

Expandable memory upto 8GB(cant think of it in NOKIA PHONES-only upto 2GB)....

Great speed even with 8GB memory card....

Does not Hang even with 8GB....

Multiple Alarm: There are five alarm slots available on the Samsung S3500 and additional ones can be created if needed. Each of them can have its own snooze time, number of repetitions and activation days. The volume can also be different for each alarm. Furthermore, you can set different tones for each of the alarms and you can choose whether it should trigger phone vibration.

Calendars - Calendar Function is awesome in this phone. It have all Indian Holidays marked. If there is a public holiday (date) it will show a icon below and when u click button, it will show you which holiday it is.

PRIVACY LOCK: Locking function is also very good where you can lock ur Messages, call log, phonebook, ur files (pics, videos, games etc), calender, memo, task etc...watever u want. really a unique function...

BLOCK Calls n Sms's: u can block calls as well as sms.

"Flight mode"

when u connect other phones through bluetooth it ask for a passcode....it really enhance ur phone secutity bcoz of this ur phone can not be hack through any hacking tool.

another awesome feature is when you connect through Bluetooth to any other device you can take a control of that phone as all files and folders of other connected phone are displayed on S3500. You can take whichever files you want without bothering other person.

"Fm recording" n the best part is the audio quality of recorded clip is shockingly loud n crystal clear n can save unlimited no. of stations.

"call recording"
crystal clear call recording n the other person on call will not hear any annoying beep.

"Fake Call function" this feature enables you to activate a bogus incoming call, so you can free yourself from awkward conversations or dodgy situations by pretending to take a call. For added authenticity, you can record your own or ur friends fake voice "call" that plays back when you answer.

Menu transition effect
if u seen latest aamir khan's samsung ad then u wud probably knw wat i m talking bout...wenever u press a button the screen slides from right to left....it looka awesome...u can also change ur transition effect.

"MOBILE TRACKER 2.0"
Mobile tracker automatically sends an SMS message to a pre-designated number alerting you when your phone’s SIM card is changed, increasing your chances of recovering a lost or stolen mobile phone.

"SOS FUNCTION"
in an emergency jus press either end of the volume key 4 times when the phone is closed. this will send the SOS message to ur selected recipients. if they call u back their call will be automatically connected. its definately a life saving feature.

Message alert repetition: it will alert u in evry 2 min if there is an unread mes on ur phone....u can put it off too.

keypad lights automatically set according to day night usage or according to ur custom usage dont have to on or off it manually.

have all the features which only a music phone possess....n music player is shockingly loud n clear.

"Random Wallpaper Effect"
very intresting feature...wenever u use ur mobile n came back to standby....it will welcome u with diffrent wallpapers of ur choice each time.(to know more read earlier reviews)

"smart dialling"

"SMS ZOOM Function"

cam cover: cam is not at the back of fone....it is inbetween the slide so slide act as a cam cover...protect lens from scratches, dust n all.

can change DEFAULT MEMORY setting: u can change default memory settings of bluetooth, wap downloads, camera, camcorder, voice recorder, fm radio etc from phone mem to memory card.
for ex: now when u transfer any file through bluetooth or click a pic, or record a radio clip they'll b directly stored in ur mem card.

Awesome file management:
The functionality of the file browser is one of the best among non-smartphones. You can copy or move files - both one by one or in bulk, and you can create and delete new folders (save for the basic ones). Files can also be sent via Bluetooth one by one or multiple at once. Throughout the whole file manager, you can pick files you would like to lock to prevent accidental deletion. The whole file navigation thingy is really quick with no lags whatsoever.

apart from these there are a lot more features like "THEME CREATOR" or BLUETOOTH MESSAGING....the list is endless.....we r still exploring.....

s3500 is a "ALLROUNDER" phone

Do not believe in other softwares which will convert any video files to 3GP.....
Just convert the FLV files to MP4 by the your software and Convert that MP4 to 3GP by using the software in PC suite...

Try this... This will help....

Take the same mp4 file and convert it again to mp4 using samsung PC studio. I use PC studio 3 because it automatically splits files.

Now it should work.

Please help in this...

When I convert a FLV file to MP4 uysing brothersoft softare. The cell gives error message "Unsupported media"

although its able to play other MP4 files.

Is there some specific setting i have to make in the software.

But the only people who doesnt see this as a problem is this anonymous and Boss. Boss atleast is good that he listens to people and understands the problem. But this anonymous just scares the people out of this if they report problem.

Anonymous, Please donot curse people who report their problem.

If I go to some photo shop and ask them to copy the photo from my mobile. What can we do in this case ?

And in a PC where already sony PC suite and Nokia PC suite is installed, if u install this driver the PC will start crashing...

See people problems as problems. Donot try to justify everything this phone has.. Start agreeing to the problem.. Accept that this is a drawback..

Anonymous, 17 Sep 2009hahahaha.... bro u r talkin much personel here.... hehehe... moreJust being practical you have not seen people or customers, for example a Product installation required 3 .net patches which required internet and the employees of those organization are not allowed to access internet which was there policy, so they choose not to use the product but they can't even connect them to internet for 2 min...similarly JRE is required to be installed on client machine to open applet application which runs in JVM of the browser, so the application is made such that when ever browser tries to load the applet it connects to the SUN site and download the latest JRE..so in this case employee do not have internet.

Big story but an example if in the case the PC is not connected to network...I won't argue much on this..but we have to compromise with some limitations....

dont understand why u complaining so much at least u got PC SUITE CD along ur phone do u know if u buy se w395 or nokia 5130 u HAVNT even get a PC SUITE cd.

Anonymous, 17 Sep 2009That is why i have written a word "Automaticaly" like a pen... moremy gosh bro wats wrong with u.... u dont have to install usb drive evry time u use it as mass storage... its a one time installation n take around 25 sec!!!.... n then wenever u connect it through usb it AUTOMATICALLY(ur word) connect to mass storage everytime..... ;)
moreover u dont have to download it u get everythin wid ur phone.

actually the thing is it has 5 bettery bars shown at the upper right end of the fone n wenever its 3 bars dissappears people thought that bettery is drained out but u knw friend its remaining two bars last for lot more than u expect....
they give u much more power than earlier three bars....

-good thing is u got usb charging feature so jus connect it to ur PC while u r working n charge it....

- other things u can do to increase its bettery life are:

-jus decrease the brightness of the phone
-dont use the keypad light in day
this is a very good feature...n u dont have to keep ur keypad lights on n off everyday... u can jus set a time like from 5pm to 9am n it will off n on ur lights at the preset time everyday....try it.
-use melody instead of vibration + melody
-keep the keypad tone off etc
explore it u'll find lot more tips too
this will help u in increasing ur bettery backup...
