will videos converted to MP4 format using Handbrake software play in S3500.

If no, can anyone please provide any other S/w for converting videos into MP4 format that plays in S3500.

Hi, Can you please tell me what are the features of 3G Network? S3500 has Edge and HSCSD is these features enough if I use Internet to download songs, themes etc. Or a 3G network is essential for these things.

Please reply little confused between Samsung S3500 and Samsung J800. Samsung J800 has 3G network. If possible give a detailed explanation. Thanks in advance.

I will list one problem each day.

Problem 1:
The photo viewer doesnt make sense in s3500. The photos "stored in the memory card" cannot be browsed by next button. The zoom doesnt display the photo full screen. It just zooms and we need to press right and left to see the whole picture. Please remember a full screen view of a photograph is different from zooming the picture.

The same photo viewer does accept browsing with next button for the photos stored in phone memory. (but not in memory card)

Donot respond with comparisions with other mobiles or with some other features. Also please donot use bad language.

Does the above makes sense for the user when he is using the mobile.

Can samsung provide good jpgviewer for all the users ?

now its time to prove ur comment....i m CHALLENGING u infront of all....jus name me any phone having these specs at the same price or even @2k more.....

I m jus copy pastinh an earlier comment.......

at 5.4k u'll get:

2.2 inch screen + 1 crore 60 lakh colours + 320*240 video recording resolution + excellent 2mp camera + QVGA video recording + premuim brushed mettalic body

u dont find these fetures in any other phone at its price or even if u pay rs2000 or 2500 more....(check urself)

apart form its awesome specs.....
other great features of s3500 are:

Multiple Alarm: There are five alarm slots available on the Samsung S3500 and additional ones can be created if needed. Each of them can have its own snooze time, number of repetitions and activation days. The volume can also be different for each alarm. Furthermore, you can set different tones for each of the alarms and you can choose whether it should trigger phone vibration.

Calendars - Calendar Function is awesome in this phone. It have all Indian Holidays marked. If there is a public holiday (date) it will show a icon below and when u click button, it will show you which holiday it is.

PRIVACY LOCK: Locking function is also very good where you can lock ur Messages, call log, phonebook, ur files (pics, videos, games etc), calender, memo, task etc...watever u want. really a unique function...

BLOCK Calls n Sms's: u can block calls as well as sms.

"Flight mode"

"bluetooth security"
when u connect other phones through bluetooth it ask for a passcode....it really enhance ur phone secutity bcoz of this ur phone can not be hack through any hacking tool.

another awesome feature is when you connect through Bluetooth to any other device you can take a control of that phone as all files and folders of other connected phone are displayed on S3500. You can take whichever files you want without bothering other person.

"Fm recording" n the best part is the audio quality of recorded clip is shockingly loud n crystal clear n can save unlimited no. of stations.

"call recording"
crystal clear call recording n the other person on call will not hear any annoying beep.

"Fake Call function" this feature enables you to activate a bogus incoming call, so you can free yourself from awkward conversations or dodgy situations by pretending to take a call. For added authenticity, you can record your own or ur friends fake voice "call" that plays back when you answer.

Menu transition effect
if u seen latest aamir khan's samsung ad then u wud probably knw wat i m talking bout...wenever u press a button the screen slides from right to left....it looka awesome...u can also change ur transition effect.

"MOBILE TRACKER 2.0"
Mobile tracker automatically sends an SMS message to a pre-designated number alerting you when your phone’s SIM card is changed, increasing your chances of recovering a lost or stolen mobile phone.

"SOS FUNCTION"
in an emergency jus press either end of the volume key 4 times when the phone is closed. this will send the SOS message to ur selected recipients. if they call u back their call will be automatically connected. its definately a life saving feature.

Message alert repetition: it will alert u in evry 2 min if there is an unread mes on ur phone....u can put it off too.

keypad lights automatically set according to day night usage or according to ur custom usage dont have to on or off it manually.

have all the features which only a music phone possess....n music player is shockingly loud n clear.

"Random Wallpaper Effect"
very intresting feature...wenever u use ur mobile n came back to standby....it will welcome u with diffrent wallpapers of ur choice each time.(to know more read earlier reviews)

"smart dialling"

"SMS ZOOM Function"

cam cover: cam is not at the back of fone....it is inbetween the slide so slide act as a cam cover...protect lens from scratches, dust n all.

can change DEFAULT MEMORY setting: u can change default memory settings of bluetooth, wap downloads, camera, camcorder, voice recorder, fm radio etc from phone mem to memory card.
for ex: now when u transfer any file through bluetooth or click a pic, or record a radio clip they'll b directly stored in ur mem card.

Awesome file management:
The functionality of the file browser is one of the best among non-smartphones. You can copy or move files - both one by one or in bulk, and you can create and delete new folders (save for the basic ones). Files can also be sent via Bluetooth one by one or multiple at once. Throughout the whole file manager, you can pick files you would like to lock to prevent accidental deletion. The whole file navigation thingy is really quick with no lags whatsoever.

apart from these there are a lot more features like "THEME CREATOR" or BLUETOOTH MESSAGING....the list is endless.....we r still exploring.....

s3500 is a "ALLROUNDER" phone

But s3500 has many more fantastic features at this price range, where in other mobile you cant find them even you shell out more 3000 to 4000....

We are not explaining each and every queries for the product development view as you said..... What even questions we are clarifying is accepted by all, but why don't you!!!

You are saying, there are many user interface problems in s3500... Not i think, the main problem is you, seeing the mobile with negaitive attitude...
List the prob....

We are saying S3500 is value the money, those who are going to buy a mobile at this range, for those we are only suggesting to buy this phone....

Yes as you said, We are writing S3500 rocks and it is the best in the last line.......
Hey buddy, read the features we have mentioned, all of them are true(can you say NO to that)... you cant even find one in other mobiles of this range....
then what is irritating you to say that s3500 is a rocking mobile....

Before concluding any problem(it also may be of your ignorant), ask as we can able to suggestion something!!!
DONT irritate S3500 family by your fake comments!!!
If you find many(due to your ignorant), then stick on to your SE mobile... Dont pollute this area!!!!

If you are helping everybody then I am sorry to say that you are working for samsung.

But I dont agree to one thing. In all the messages you guys say s3500 rocks or its the best in your last lines..

There are many many user interface problems with s3500. When we inform to this forum that something is a problem you guys explain the problem from a product development view.

But you guys dont realise that the problem is a problem for the user.

I am not a fan of any particular mobile company trying to blame samsung. I am only saying wrt this particular mobile.

For you I repeat the answer once again...

1) First download JAD MAKER software from the below site....

2)Ok... Then, Now you download a jar file(may be apps or games) for s3500... For this go to this Website!!!

3) After downloading the file, you can see the files are in JAR format(which was not accepted by S3500..... Samsung s3500 accepts only JAD files)

4) Then by using the JADMAKER, covert the JAR file into JAD file....

5) Now you have both JAD(converted) and JAR(Downloaded) file....

6) Put them both in your phone memory or in memory card!!!

7)In your phone, Go to Other files and there you can see two files...(one is in the format of JAR and other is in the format of JAD)

8) Click the JAD file, I will ask "INSTALL", Press "OK"..

9) Then your apps or games will be installed.
To go to your installed games Press....MAIN MENU ----> APPLICATION---> GAMES AND MORE ----> MY GAMES ----> here you can find your APPS OR GAMES!!!

Hope, i clarified your doubt clearly....

TO INSTALL GAMES:

first download "jad maker" (its a freeware jus google it) so that u can make a jad installer file and then download games of 240*320 resolution (upto 500kb)...convert the jar files into jad format wid the "jad maker"...after converting...u will get two files...one will be .jar and other will be .jad...put BOTH the files in the phone memory's 'other files' folder...when u paste both the files in ur phone through ur samsung pc studio..a installer will appear on ur mobile screen...click 'yes' and the game will be installed...
there is another way also u can paste both the files (jar & jad) in ur memory card "other files" folder than after disconnecting ur pc suite jus click(middle key) on the jar files n it will install the games......
enjoy.....

bro jus go through the earlier comments i hav posted many games here for s3500 jus try em out.....
moreover u'll find url's of game sites from where u can download free games....
i hav a request here to all the readers pls read earlier comments first...pls dont post already answerd queries again n again.....

to mute ur incoming call jus press the volume key (-) more than once....it will mute ur call u can also cancel the vibrations through this key.....n the phone will NEVER ring, unless n untill the person calls u again....if u want to mute all calls u can do it by changing the profile.

n if u such a se guy why dont u jus buy one.....
dont corrupt this place....s3500 is providing a lot more value than its price go n compare urself even phones @ 7k cant compareable to it.....so dont u think there's a room for a additional headfone in the budget.....go n buy one...but dont bother here.

Sir,
Does this phone has got a mute functionality(when call comes, mute it).
I tried with the side keys,volume was brought down to zero ,but after that once again it stared ringing.
Is this the expected behaviour?

By any chance are you working for samsung marketing ?

I donot agree the bass effect on s3500.. s3500 has more treble and is very poor when it comes to bass effect. SE is much better in this.
