dude ... moreStar stands nowhere in competition to Nokia smartphones.Just addding wifi is not sufficient it should run on a proper operating system such as Symbian or Windows Mobile.See it's comparison with Nokia 5530 and you will know where it stands -

So sorry to say this but this phone sucks, Samsung Corp, what the F...... is wrong with you people, my friends and i have been waiting for the OmniaPro B7610 like forever we don't need this phone, we need the best phone we have seen so far that is OmniaPro B7610, The Nokia N97 or HTC Touch pro2 dont even come close to samsung's answer.

It would be excellent if it was priced around £100 - £120 for the mid-lower end market.

Its out in Dubai for USD 245. I cant make up my mind coz i was about to buy the Nokia 5530 & now this has come-out, a real dillema! anyone got any tips/advice?

dude do u knw the price of 5800 is almost double around 18k whereas the price of star wud b around 9k!!!!!!
n wen u started this now read carefully.....
even at half the price star has a good screen & lots of homescreen widgets just like N97. So for a person who likes a good homescreen with wigdegts its good to go for samsung star but nokia 5800 does not have dynamic widgets on homescreen.
although 5800 is much supirior but dude as i said its double the price....its like comparing 5800 with n97...lol

s5230 star wifi now better than nokia 5530....why? although 5530 is smartphone symbian plus hi res screen and 3.5mm jack but samsung Touchwiz millions better than symbian v5 touch ui!! we need simple and easy to use but FAST ui in low budget touchphone...and samsung wins here,,,while we know symbian 5800 and n97 very2 laggy and buggy...we need stable touch and responsive sensitive tooo....bye2 nokia....

This is too much really don't know if samsung people gone mad. Full touch 2G phone with WiFi. Why no 3G.
