S5233WDXJF1 "DX" is for asia FW..

pedro pendukot, 12 Oct 2010improvements on virtual kypad layout and keyboard.. faster ... moreis this FW (S5230WXEIL1) for asian star wifi? hehehe i really am new on flashing and upgrading the FW stuff so i really don't know. so pardon me for asking...when flashin/upgrading, do I need to connect through my PC to do that?

Hi, are there any firmware upgrades for increased message capacity. Can we view sms in threaded view. Can we create folders for messages?
Which is better: LG cookie wifi or star wifi

dusko, 08 Oct 2010Thanks,but this means that if I have that letter in wifi mo... moreby the way, once you attempt searching for a wifi hotspot, the Wifi Icon would appear on the top bar alongside with the signal, time, profile and battery status. The icon would be colored grey if there's no available connection, it would appear blue if there are some, and once you're connected, it would be colored green.
If the EDGE icon "E" would show some half ripples protruding out colored red while you're connected, it means you're connected over-the-air (WAP) only.

dusko, 08 Oct 2010Thanks,but this means that if I have that letter in wifi mo... moreNot necessarily, the "E" icon shows if the signal on EDGE is available and strong. And even if you're connected on wifi it would sometimes be there but you shouldn't be bothered at all.
If you're only connected through wap(GPRS, EDGE) you really won't be able to load up the youtube page. The data in-flow is just too small for the videos to even load up and would take you forever to just even see a glimpse of a video you would like to watch. Thus, Samsung dis-abled the youtube page unless you're connected through wifi.
But once you're connected through a wifi, then you could watch all you can.

dusko, 07 Oct 2010The letter E,does it has to blink,even in wifi mode?it really doesn't matter, it's the EDGE connections signal. If you are doing over-the-air connections, and not wifi, then EDGE will be your connection, if not, it's GPRS(which is slower) which should show the icon "G".
