I've had this phone for a little over 2 years now. Before this I had an X1550, a phone that is/was very similar.

The 5510 has a few weaknesses that are annoying. There's only one single contact, this makes it impossible to use the headset at the same time as you recharge it. It's one of the two. This can be a bit annoying if you travel a lot by car etc. (The 1550 had seperate contacts for this.)
The way it shuts down programs are nice, but some have a tendency of still not closing properly, forcing you to go to the actual program again to close it properly.
It's impossible to stop an SMS that is on its way, even though the screen has an "abort" button.
The outer screen has a love of accumulating smudges, and they seem impossible to get totally rid of.

On a positive note. I've dropped it to the floor, to stone settings and to the street a few times and it has yet to hiccup. (Lost the 1550 to a stone setting.)
The calendar is superb and holds (more than) enough possible notes.
Buttons are distinct and rather large, making it easy to use and fast for SMS, as long as you learn how the phone handles predicting words. The dictionary isn't stellar though.
Radio works perfectly with the headset, sound quality is on par with a kitchen radio.
Contrary to other reviewers I find the outer screen able to show incoming call name/number no matter when or where.
It has a battery that keeps going, and going, and going, and...

                So-so...
The camera. It looks decent on paper, but I find it less than impressive in real life.
SMS memory. If you SMS a lot you'll have to resign yourself to clearing up your SMS memory fairly often, 200 SMS for incoming. I have yet to find a limit for outgoing.
The design is beautiful, imo. But it's a bit impractible at times. I often have to turn the phone around and around and around before I find what's up and down on it so I can flip it open and answer.
The headset is good for using most of the time. But you can't shut down outgoing calls with it, it's something that has to be done manually by shutting the lid.
Internet, it's doable, but a bit unwieldy. The rather small main screen doesn't help.

I'll keep using this phone until I slam it into something that breaks it or the battery dies. It does everything a phone must do, and does it well, and has a few finesses to make it pleasant to have.

I use this phone nearly 6 months. The incoming caller names are almost impossible to see on outer display in daylight. It is really a mystical display. The battery life is satisfying. My minimum talk time is 2 hours a day and the battery lasat 3 - 4 days, but I use no other functions. The clamshell is resistant to scratches, but of course not a corning gorilla - glass. The menu's are faster than many phones, but sometimes the main display freezes especially when you constantly press the "no" button. Can carry it anywhere as it is very light. Stylish, everyone want to pick it up and take a look. The sound quality in the ear is very good and non-metalic as in sone other brands. The mp3 ringtones should have to be copied to the phone's memory otherwise they do not work. A very practical and fun to use phone.

in a nutshell RUBBISH, if you live on the fringe and need a blue tick forget this phone, unreliable, rings constantly when signal is non existent with nobody on the end, have had traces on phone which dont record any calls at all so fault lays at the phones end. dont put in your pocket as camera lens will scratch and flip will get scratched . all in all go back and design a phone that has better signal strengh and then i might go back to samsung.sorry but its the truth.
