I am not able to download any video from mobile web sites etc. even in 3gp, avi, and mp4 format everytime it says; format not supported. pls tell me if anything that i could do in this regard.

does it have text editing options like the cut, copy and paste? and whether it works in the whole system, i mean whether it can copy text from browser(inbuilt or opera mini) and paste it in the message or notes? Thanks

I guess u r misinformed about the USB charging about Nokia phones. Nokia Phones do no charge off the USB cable (I mean they do but the PC Suite has to be up and Running) Whereas the Samsung Doesnt need KIES to be up and running.
Secondly , U can access the internet using the KIES Software, I have not tried tho but it should work..
One more advice to all S5610 Users. When u connect the phone to Computer/Laptop, by default it will be connected either in Mass storage or PC suite mode, but the disadvantage is it will not ask u wat mode it should be connected in , for Eg it should look like this
1) PC Suite
2) Mass storage
3) Do nothing (Or something like that)
the above options are there in Chat 322.
Here in S5610 it doesnt give u the option and once it is connected u can access the phone features, but hey wait there is a work around, follow the steps as mentioned below.
1) Place a call to any number who doesnt answer (i always call the customer care)
2) When the call gets connected connect the USB cable to the COMP and the phone.
3) After connecting the cable just wait for 3 seconds and then disconnect the call.
4) You will be in the regular home screen and u can use the phone functionalities as well..
For me this is very important as i charge my S5610 in Office comp and i msg frequently , while charging from comp if the phone funcionality is not availble then it is difficult for me.

Sometimes my SAMSUNG S5610 is Automatically Re-Starting resulting in delay in making an important call at times.
Is this problem, being faced by any other User. what is the suggested solution? is there any upgrade from Samsung for solving this type of problem.

I bought it today for my father-in-law.
Pros: The body is solid, the keyboard is very good. The torch is nice.
Cons: The camera is with autofocus, when you push the button it focuses and than shots. You cannot half-push.

No wifi...great features with simple design...also internet is slow when compared with sony ericson cedar...

Decent and Stylish phone...
Big display that plays youtube...
Soft keypad for texting... Its can store 300 SMSs... When memory is full... Take a Backup of ur msgs in memory card :) conversation mood is available in text msgs... Good to send emails....
Autofocused Camera takes better pictures than any other mobile having 5MPs...
Volume is normal... You can auto reject calls.. You can block senders... I'm not in 3G area so dont know about its performance in 3G... For me EDGE works fine...
On Apllication and Operating System side this device is far behind Symbian devices...
No Wifi connectivity... No multitasking :( (Only FM and Music players can be minimized) dont support Docs. There are only three defaults themes preinstalled...
Overall this phone is Good in this Price Range...

today i purchased this phone for Rs.5700/- gr8 features, good music and u will get the music headphones with this, it has 3g and front camera for video calling no memory card big screen far better than nokia X2

The design is no joke, it's great. But mine doesn't have video call camera. Maybe it's different for each country. Make sure you check it. I also experience death grip issue in bad signal area. It's not a bother in good signal area.

Hi, I am thinking abt buying this mobile.
Please let me know the price and whether it is worth to buy.
I am just looking for a good phone with good camera and music/fm player along with few apps.
Do not want to go for touch screen ones, as my kids will play with my mobile daily.
Let me know your views on go/no-go

unfortunately picture taken in full Rssolution (5Mp)are not available there,
you can use Blogspot, wordpress or flickr/picasa to show the full Resolution of Samsung S5610 camera results in lowlight INDOOR

which one is better Samsung S5610, Elm or SE Hazel ?
especially about the quality of camera results and multimedia or multitasking function
i can't understand why GSMarena phone review won't show the camera results for (low light)INDOOR pics taking , are they trying to hide some Facts ??
they only show the OutDoor photo samples.
