another thing, i was thinking of updating the firmware of my phone, I'm from the philippines, i read all the instructions from the darkforest group, however, i lost my USB data cable that came with the phone so maybe i could use classA USB data cables instead, if it can communicate with the phone then maybe it would work? could it be used in the updating process? USB cables for samsung is pretty expensive here, what about using the cable for nokia 5800 instead? its also microUSB by the way.
any help is much appreciated.

hi
i noticed another pinhole just beside the 3.5mm audio jack? what does this thing do, i mean, is it also used for audio recording when shooting a video and that would mean the audio recorded for the video would be stereo?

PLEASE HELP.
I really want to get this mobile, S8000 jet. I'm with AT&T. Since I do NOT have a data plan, can I block connecting to the internet because I do not want to pay? But I would like to connect to the internet using the wi-fi only. Thank you so much in advance.

the jet is a great phone. been great as my first touch, only set backs are the games and message inbox. hard to find touch games and cant download the full version in NZ. and for messageing it only holds 220 in inbox.

initially all the msgs gets stored in the sim card, its very very annoying, can it be changed to phone memory???

try check nimbuzz and opera mini in widgets..it is located at the left side of the main screen, tap the arrow and you will find all the applications, including bluetooth..you can find there also facebook, you tube, myspace and etc... as pre-installed in your phone.. or try to go to your files "my files"
i also bought samsung jet s8003 2 weeks ago, it's pretty nice and worth the pay :-)
