yeah.i agree with you.this phone is suck`nly the price n the name i cn proud of.very very dissapoint thing from samsung.i rather pick up renoir from lg.much more entertaining

here is the full review from me after using JET for 10 days.
it's just based on my personal experience and opinions, so correct me if i'm wrong and if u discover something that a normal Jet user should know.
mine is Jet S8003 DXIE8
first of all, i will start with unboxing it.
the contents are nothing surprise and as usual, charger, usb cable(usb charing with computer), headphone but no CD and no manual.
i just have some issue with the headphone because it mimic the great headphone of sony ericsson walkman series, it doen't fit the ear properly and can't seal the surrounding noises well (i've planned to get a creative headphone instead, so not a big issue to me)
before starting the phone, i was in great difficuly in removing the back cover but finally i can manage after using very great force :)
look>>this phone is very cute and sexy one. it's neither small or big. my overall impression is a very good looking phone.
screen>> very brillant LED
u'll seen more difference if u compare with other LCD screen even iphone can't compete this.
but screen surffer in outdoor sunlight where LED advantage over LCD all lost and both are about the same.
touch>> good for a resistive screen
respond to almost all touch
easy to type on QWERTY kaypad
the on screen buttons are large enough and scroll are fine. also option for left and right-handed persons
but can't compete iphone touch however.
UI >> very pretty and easy to use and overall speed is fast to respond
suitable for basic user
and not suitable for users those needs tons of applications because it's limitted to jave (i can find some download on darkforest forum http://www.darkforestgroup.com/forum/index.php?topic=1097.60)
battery>> 1.5 days with regular usage
2 days with minimal usage
(i think this is absolutely normal because which touch phone can stand 2-3 days with havy usage, iphone? N97? no way!!!)
(i can watch a 2 hour movie + normal 1 day usage)
camera>>
still picture >> fair for a phone camera(not top scoring cam but acceptable)
function >> great (almost all phone cam can't compete it's functions of cam) face, smile detection!!!!!
video recording >> above average (good frame rate + resolution)
music>>
good with good headphone
cover all function of basic mp3 player
3.5mm jeck
video player>>
may be one of the best part of the phone
the resolution is very good, clear and bright
i can put the .avi files directly to my phone (without any conversion) then the phone can handle them well.
fm radio >> works well what it is meant to do.
bluetooth >> cover everything, no complaint
wifi >> just ok
browser>> also ok
phone book>> very good for me, so many fields and options
(but i can't image how to backup all my phone contents (phone book, pictures, movies, ...) with pc suit)
(i used SE, and it's PC suit can back up all contents with just 3 clicks)
widgets>> cute, useful (but i still don't know how to remove the old and unuseful one and so i can't get new ones and there are not so many new one online)
other +++ >> video editor, photo editor, dynamic canvas
and Smart unlock, equitte pause, motion gate & cube, speak call, proximity sensor, fake call,
cons >> no digital compass as described by GSM arena
definitely not a "smarter than smart phone", not much applications and games available (not a big blow for me because i'm not a serious gammer and i've got a PSP)
GPS works only through internet connection (3G or wifi) with google maps, Route 66 needs some steps to avtivate and install but *** not available for all countries, just small no. of countries available***
ok, this just my 10 days experience of using Jet. u may either correct me or ask me what's u can't get. if i can, i'll help u.
