Okay folks some dodgy dealing going on that we are not being made aware of from Orange, Samsung & Youtube. (Could include other network operators)
If you set up your phone to access the internet on dial up, you will be able to watch the video clips but it will cost you. I had a conversation with Orange and they said buy a daily bundle for a £1 but this limits you to 25M for the day???
Most of us with any brains would want to connect to the internet via a free / home WIFI hub. Loads of people have stated, including myself that you can connect to Youtube via WIFI but cannot stream videos.
1. Don't listen to half the idiots that tell you to reconfigure your router...It's balderdash.
2. Don't listen to the muppets that tell you that you should access tinytube.net due to scaled resolution videos..again rubbish.
3. Don't listen to the man that says Youtube only does HD and thats why your phone cannot view youtube vidoes...Poppycock
4. Dont listen to the reprobates that tell you to reconfigure your network connections...this just muddy's the water. The systems are intelligent to match your mobile network criteria.
5. If these guys don't get it sorted take your phone back as you will be entitled to a full refund for faulty goods.
6. Dont listen to me, but I can see others are in the same boat.

what's the difference between the white and black version of the JET.
i can't see any difference except colour but the price is so much differ.
is the 8Gb version of the JET really exist or it's just error spec?
mine is only 2Gb and also my friends'.

Still haven't been able to get any connections. I have an unsecured wireless connections home. don't know if i'm missing a step but everytime time i try to connect, it finds the page but the screen appears blank. sometimes i get a error message saying dns failure, and sometimes just a blank screen. I not a network wizard so please help?

i did the optimise in youtube,,but the same problem..the vedios not working,,so what do u think?maybe the problem is from the browser?but why its working with other users..pls help

When i will have this phone in my hands next week i will write a review about it!
I had many Devices by all manufacturers and believe that i can write an objective comment about it.
Also i will try to solve the issues which many people here has!

y dont u just try it? jet is not a smartphone so im really not sure if it can run instant messaging..
jet or n97mini which do u prefer?

this will help solve youtube problems. copied from the darkforest group forum and solution by bro designoo
You can easily fix this problem by going to m.youtube.com (US-English Site),
scroll down to the bottom and select OPTIMIZE.
1) Press YES on 1st Test
2) Press YES on 2nd Test
3) Press NO on 3rd Test (Flash)
4) Press CLICK HERE on 4th Test, you'll be forwarded to Test 6
5) Press YES (MP4/AAC)
6) Press NO (h.263/AMR)
You're done. Now all videos should play again without issues.
p.s. if you can't find the optimise link, then click on help and click on question number 13 to get you to the optimization page and follow above instructions carefully.

Anonymous, 12 Dec 2009i'm using the new 128k globe sim and its working fine.well, thats what the technician said thats why my jet is in service for 3 to 4 weeks. anyway nice to have it check for your peace of mind. i wont hav my jet for 3 weeks at least so there..

In true samsung s8000 NON user friendly fashion, NON intuitive OS, I have managed at last to download a couple of java apps that work and the third one i tried to download, the problems started.
1. I tried to download a 7MB Java app and the phone said "Phone Memory Full".
The phone memory has still 1.5 GB free and the SD card about 3.3 GB free.
What is wrong with this phone? Everyone else seemed (from the reviews) to have downloaded the app fine on their nokia phones? Why cant i download it?
2. Also why are the Apps i download (NOT games) placed under games? Why cant i make a folder and place them there or group them in some way so they are not in the same list as the games that came with the phone?
3. Finally, how can I copy java apps I have downloaded from my phone to my memory SD card?

Dont let u confused by all the negative comments about this device!
Have you ever seen a Noki, Sony ericsson or samsung device without any software lacks?
Me not!
The People are commenting so negative because they was less informated.
This phone isnt a smartphone like its showed in the advertises. Its a feature phone with less apps.
There are some problems like to connect to the server from samsung over NPS to update the firmware.
You will have less games for this device and programms! That the main disadvatage what uwould have!
The rest is quite nice! The problems above can be solved but we must wait for samsungs server which has now problems.
If u ask me why im so convinced? Because my friend have this device and he is really amazed by this!
The best things here in short:
-havent seen better Display than this
-The Browser "Dolfin" is very user freidnly and fast
-Camera UI and also Quality are very good (have took some pics)
-The Media Browser and File Manager have nice options and design
i only buy it to watch films and surf with it over wifi and taking photos sometimes
the LOOK of this device is so lovely!
im loving it
and i hope i could convince you to that this is a good device

man ur jet dont have any problems like cant connect to wifi or play utube? i wanna buy this phone but so many negative feedbacks around here so im really confused, btw im pinoy also, another thing can u tell me the firmware of ur phone...
