toshi, 22 Oct 2009hey guys i have jet since one week and its great my questio... moreyou have to set the connection for media player..go to settings-application settings-media player and under vod settings choose your correct connection and then youtube and streaming video/audio will play fine!

syam, 22 Oct 2009is there a new firmware update for s8003 and how do i check... morepress *#1234# on the keypad to check firmware version. New firmware is for S8000 but can be used for S8003 as well. Mine is a S8003 and am currently using new firmware S8000XEII2.

hey guys i have jet since one week and its great my question is that when i open youtube and select any video it doesnt play the media player opens and it says try again is there any problem with player settings as all other sites opens directly but videos doesnt play please help me out.......

Got this fone 3 weeks ago and lets be fair it looks amazing and screen and picture is brilliant, it ends there though, listening to music and storing music is shockingly bad, simple things like the alarm resets itself and often doesnt go off, there is just so much pointlessness to this fone and it will baffle you sometimes, if you do get it on contact please make sure you have a 14-28 days return on it because it will annoy you so much, Samsung have spent all there buget on advertising a good looking fone and nothing on the working of it, its an empty sexy shell

The new firmware, i.e. S8000XEII2 rocks big time. New horizontal menu edit layout, loads of improvements on touch screen, browser and new music player is out of this world. New media browser is fantastic. check it out at darkforestgroup.com

i owned milions phones & smart phones phones such as omnia I.n95,samy g 810,htc cruis and so on now i have jet that i recommend to everyone,super phone!with super screen & accetable java application can get from getjar.com or java-phones.com

And I forgot.. the blue tooth and wifi work great also.. and there is one thing that may be of interest to some.. it is for me.. if you get txt the phone reminds you every so often that there is unviewed txt. Which is great if you are in noisy environment when txt arrives.... such as work or riding a motorcycle... you dont always have to check your phone.

O do not post here often but decided to put in my 2 cents worth. OK.. first off I really dont thing there is yet a "perfect phone" not from any one. I have the Jet, have used it and it is overall better for MY needs than any other Nokia, Mot, BlackBerry, Apple, that I have had. I know it is not a "smart" phone. But Java programs abound and are easy to find. Yes there are different types of Java, so you have to look at the spec sheet and see which version of Java is on the phone and use that type! I just down loaded 6 games and all work flawlessly, Get Jar is a good source for Java.
My needs are a phone that has great reception because I live in an area with weak signal.. the jet seems to have best signal reception of any phone I have, A good clear screen with fonts that are a decent size, Again jet does the job, you gotta love the amoled screen, it even play divx movies! to pass the time while waiting for whatever. Needs to be able to do email, the net connection here and places I work fails often and I need a back up and also a portable email for when I am waiting for something important and cant sit by the computer. I need a up coming events of more than 1 day.. and being able to drop a month calendar on the desktop is a real treat, touch it and i see every appointment for the entire month. The sound for the ringer and voice calls have to be loud enough to hear in a construction environment and it is. A half way decent camera to document things when needed, and it is way better than 1/2 way decent, pretty damn good actually. A key pad that is easy to type on, again.. no problem, no little keys, plenty of room for my fingers. Add thin enough to fit in a pocket easily, lite, and a battery that will go at least 2 days if I cant make it to a power source over night, again the jet fills the bill, so far my only negative is i have to give the screen some shade from my body while in the field in bright sun.. in that catagory nokia and Blackberry win, but I can do fine with turning my back to the sun. Music is an added bonus, and I picked up a driver to sync the jet to my MacBook through Isync. All My bases are covered.. it is a quad band unit so it works where ever I do, One of my other phones serve well as a back up but none have all the features that this phone has in one unit, and the price is right. OH yes.. this is my first Samsung and very glad i took the chance instead of waiting for Nokia to come out with something that would fit the bill.
One last item.. the instructions arent the greatest, so YOU do have to think a little on your own or ask for help here or else where if you find something you cant do.

still torn between the jet and the arena. the jet was my first choice (due to the amoled screen) but it seems the arena's interface is friendlier and also lg seem to be producing new versions of firmware to make it stable....samsung seem to have abandoned the jet, or have they?

There is no war here!If you want smartphone so go for
OS phones like crappy 5800!It's your choice.JET is just for Java lovers who hate about speed & complicating of OS phones.I personally Tryed IPHONE 3G,Really it's so complicated and its screen Resolution is awful.With JET atleast you have the best screen.
