hi frnds, many say s8000 n s8003 are same and many say that in s8003 gps is disabled and it is also not recognised by NPC.. i live in india..can any 1 who ows an s8003 tell me if the gps n wifi r workin good or not .. or should i get s8000 frm abroad.. plz help!!! i dont knw what 2 do..

anyway, i haven't download the map from route66 yet.

yeahh!! i managed to activate the navigation menu already as a result of simply searching through a forum in my country. need to open the admin screen to activate it. asian version of jet will be a bit troublesome..
anyway, thx 4 ur info!! i can try to download the map into my hp later.

Anonymous, 03 Sep 2009Eros, you should go to setting>phone setting>navigation men... morethe problem now is.. there is no navigation menu in the phone settings. the menus includes: language, vibration feedback, calibration, touch panel auto-lock, caller information, pc connections, tv out, divx(r) vod, license settings & gps settings.
do i need upgrade the software first to get the navigation menu?

eros, 03 Sep 2009oh ok.. but i stil can't find the navigation inside the app... moreEros, you should go to setting>phone setting>navigation menu. You then activate it. The phone will restart and you can find a navigation icon in the menu. If you don't activate it, it is not possible to download Route66 in your SD card.
When you click the "Navigation" icon, it says some files are missing. You then need to use Route66 Sync to download the files to the SD card in your Jet.

Dear all,
I bought, beginning of June, the S5600. Terrible disappointment + no support from Samsung = I get rid of this phone!!
Unfortunately, SE takes ages to develop their full touch screens mobiles (Or Samsung is probably skipping a few steps in the development cycle of their products to cut the costs and do not really care to release unfinished products...)
Despite this, I am still considering purchasing the Jet.
Before that I need to make sure that I will not find on the Jet what was so irritating on the S5600…i.e. :
The gesture lock was just causing unwanted calls
Not able to see the clock when tipping an sms…Can this be solved by the multi tasking? (Instead of having to save the sms in draft go back to the home screen and back again to finish writing the sms…)
Phone menu not accessible during a phone call…
Pictures and ringtones need to be saved on the mobile
No turn to mute function
Very tricky to personalise the background picture due to the 3 screens
No copy paste (Whereas this exist on the old tocco!!!)
Limited characters amount in the notes
The tilting function to scroll though the pics was unusable!

what is good jet or s.e w995 i cant decide pls help. i lyk s.e bcause of 8 mp cam i lyk sasung bcoz of its design and amoled 16m display d only thing i dont like samsung is touch screen i still lyk keypad...
i just want to know wheres easy 2 use and convenient to use.
