I recently bought my jet and I suddenly started noticing there is a lot of black empty space near the edges of the screen particularly end of screen…
Please, review the image and tellme is it normal? OR my phone screen is shorter by few cm.!

i got my samsung jet yesterday and i dont how to change the message alert tone and it is really driving me mad, can you help me please

As far as I know, the S8003 is for the Asia Pacifi Region.
So in the Philippines, the Jet is available as S8003. Ive checked a lot of Samsung stores as well, and they all sell S8003.
Well in my opinion, S8003 isnt that bad if you will be using it here, as said earlier, GPS in the Philippines is just a NOVELTY. haha Ive had the my N95 for almost 2 years and I only used it once! just to gauge the accuracy of the GPS.
I guess, the only reason why I want an S8000 over the S8003 is because I don't want to be marginalized. hehehe Like it sucks when the rest of the worlds gets one thing and we get something else. =p
ang S8003 ba ay kayumanggi? sarat ang ilong? hindi katangkaran? Kinki ang buhok.

ano, 22 Jul 2009The S8003 ver is for asia market and it has no gps preinsta... moreWahaha as if we would be needing GPS here in the Philippines. GPS is only novelty factor here and you should know that. My gripe with the S8003 is the lack of firmware update. S8000 already has one. S8003 has none.

there is a version of S8000 here in the phil.To check the version, it is indicated at the back of the unit.

Are you referring to S8000 or S8003?
Usually most problems are related with S8003.

Laziale, 21 Jul 2009Some ppl Flashed there S8003 and installed the New S8000 ne... morethey lost regional languages due to flashing with improper flash for that location (needs to be firmware for specific area of interest to get that specific language set you need), the phone itself has nothing to do in rest. word of advice, improper area (us/eu) version, might disturb the 3G network settings, due to differences in frequency operating in regions.

Hi~ there,
I bought Samsung Jet 8003(here in Thailand, model is NOT 8000) and would like to add other language on the system to read and write.
When I asked to Samsung, Samsung said 'we arranging system by each operator(s). Thus other language CAN NOT added at all'.
But I think it is not so difficult issue to do. Does anyone knows how to upgrade or install other language?

hi! im an owner of samsung jet. from the philippines.
i got my own from abu dhabi.
i can say that the phone is great. interface at it's best, better than any other of course except iphone's.
hmm. disadvantages would be:
the sceen got an early collision.i was owning it for a month now. i mean, there's a bubble or moist (i dont know) inside the screen which is visible at night (with a light of a bulb). think it was due to great pressure i'm doing on the screen.
so i suggest use stylus or anything lighter than a thumb to press.
wifi connection sucks!. i mean i'm not techy to fixing connections and i got problems especially when connecting to a public area like cafes.. should know the prob soon.
lastly, the calibration of the touch. sometimes, presses were really misinterpreted. really having hard time to send messages with the full qwerty keyboard.
on the bright side. it's nice and good. my friends, admire it. everything's almost perfect for nonsmartphone. LG arena was beaten by this i should say.
